HELLO HEPPNER OREGON
I raise my hands to the sky
Reaching to my family, friends
And the community
With a high five.
I took a deep breath and relaxed
With a box of Kleenex
on my lap
I wipe my tears
I can’t believe it’s been 5 years.
Life is very strange indeed
There’s a reason for living
There’s a reason for dying
A reason to be sick
A reason that was healthy
When someone can tell me why
For all those reasons
Some are good and some bad
Call me and we can talk
Or just go out for a walk.
My thoughts of this is true
I believe you can get through
Sometime it’s really hard
But thinking of friends as you
Take care of all those blues.
For all those how are you
And you are looking good
With the food, flowers
And cards that were sent.
From my heart I feel a warming
From my eye a fallen tear
From my pen I write
THANK YOU
I reach out to those you see
I believe
they really cared about me .
So I’ll put these years behind
I owe it to God for all His faith
I have all of you to bless
For we have all the days ahead.
From the beginning
I had attitude
Determination, courage
and grace
I will take each step with
NO FEAR
I will take each day with
NO TEARS
You all mean so much to me
So remember I beat it
I’M FREE !!!!
