A story in the January 30
Gazette-Times entitled "Health
district board turns down
p h y sician 's req u est” was
incorrect.
Dr. Boss asked the
district to pay a $1,000 year-end
bonus and a $ 1.649.24 retirement
contribution for his physician’s
assistant for 2001, and a $1,000
bonus and $1,919.23 retirement
contribution for 2002. The board
did not approve the bonus for
either year. The board did
approve
the
retirem ent
contribution for the PA for the
year 2002. The story stated that
the board approved the bonus and
retirement contribution for the
year 2001, but not for the year
2002.
A portion of the story
discussing the raise to be received
by Dr. B o ss’ PA was also
incorrect. The increase would
have given the PA a $5,000 raise
over the previous year, not a $500
a month raise, according to
adm inistrator V ictor Vander
Does.
