Sheriff's Report
The M orrow C ounty S h e riff s
Office (M CSO) reports handling
the following business:
-Oregon State Police received
a report o f a suspicious vehicle on
1-84 eastbound to Boardman. It was
a two-ton flatbed vehicle with round
brown bags that appeared to be full
o f liquid.
-M CSO received a request for
deputy contact in Im gon regarding
a vehicle on property owned by the
caller's grandson.
-M CSO received a report o f a
male juvenile sitting too close to
the road and causing a hazard.
-MCSO deputy cited Juan Manuel
Bobera, 32, for Assault IV-Domestic.
-M CSO received a report from
the Imgon Justice Court that a loose
pit bull in the com plainant's yard
tried to attack her daughter.
-M CSO received a report that
Ross C arlyle Van Etta, 20, was
arrested on H eppner Justice Court
warrants for Caminal Trespass I and
Caminal Mischief II. He was lodged
with $6,000 bail on each count.
-M CSO received a report from
a caller regarding a theft/burglary
that occurred Oct. 10. It had been
previously repotted on Oct. 12.
-M CSO received a request for
a deputy regarding the caller's son.
-M CSO received a report that
Anthony Hall, 19, was arrested on
M orrow C ounty Justice Court
warrant for Theft I (x4). He was cited
and released with 25,000 bail.
-M CSO deputy advised he was
on the Bom bing Range Road
assisting a m otorist change a flat
tire.
-Im gon ambulance received a
request for an ambulance for a 67-
year-old female subject who had
low blood pressure. The subject
refused transport.
-MCSO received a hang-up 911
, call from the Northwestern Motel
in Heppner. The manager checked
all the rooms and said no 911 calls
were reported.
-M CSO, Oregon State Police
received a report that a driver o f a
pickup pulling a camper-trailer ran
the caller o ff the road.
O c t 18: MCSO received a report
from Im gon that a pickup window
was broken into during the night
by a rock and a stereo was taken.

but no weapons.
-MCSO received report of a large
wolf-type dog running around loose
at A.C. Houghton Elementary School
in Irrigon.
-M CSO received a report from
Irrigon that a two labs and a
husky/wolf dog were harassing other

a request for officer contact regarding
a possible juvenile trespass at

a report from a caller in Roseburg
that he thought he lost his .30 Ruger

Forest. It was determined to be in
W heeler or G rant counties.
-Boardman Police Dept, officer
cited Cheryl Bradley, 29, for
M aintaining a Dog as a Public
Nuisance.
-MCSO deputy cited two juvenile
m ales for Theft III.
-Oregon State Police received
a report from a caller on 1-84
westbound that a vehicle swerved
in front o f her.
-M CSO received a report from
a caller in Im gon that his vehicle
which had been reported stolen is
currently on C alifornia Street in
Irrigon.
-Heppner Police Dept., Heppner
am bulance received a request for
an ambulance for a 70-year-old male
having a diabetic reaction. Transport
was refused.
-Boardman Police Dept, officer
advised Miguel Angel Sandoval,
20, was in custody for Crim inal
Possession o f a Forged Instrument
(x2) and Forgery I (x2). He was
lodged at the Umatilla County Jail.
- Boardman Police Dept, received
a request for ofF.er contact at Dodge
City Inn in Boardman for a U-Haul
truck that had hit an aw ning on a
building then left the scene. An
A ttem pt to Locate was sent out.
-MCSO, Boardman Police Dept,
received a report o f som eone
trespassing at an apartm ent at the
Sandpiper Apts. Larry Douglas
Prock, 40, was cited for Criminal
Trespass II.
-M CSO received a report o f a
stolen shotgun.
-Boardman Police Dept, received
a report that someone took a baseball
bat to a vehicle at the Boardm an
Texaco.
Oct. 20: MCSO deputy reported
a one-vehicle accident on Highway
74 east o f lone. A vehicle hit a deer;
it appeared there was no dam age
to the vehicle or deer.
-Oregon State Police received
a request for contact from a caller
in Im gon. Three o f the caller's
vehicles had been J>roken into the
previous night and'item s taken.
-Boardman Police Dept, received
a report o f a vehicle swerving,
weaving and driving erratically
(slowing then speeding up) on 1-84
westbound. The vehicle was stopped.
-M CSO received a report from
a Corps o f Engineers representative
that the cam pers reported the
previous day were still by the fish
hatchery. They were supposed to
have left by then.
-M CSO received a request for
deputy contact in Im gon regarding
a Rottweiler that chased the caller
down a street.
-M CSO, Oregon State Police
received a report o f wood in both
lanes o f 1-84 eastbound and traffic
having to dodge the pieces. The
caller called back and said the wood
was all over the road for several
miles.
-M CSO received a request for
deputy contact regarding a burglary
in Im gon that had been reported
two weeks ago but the caller wanted
to go and check out the damage.
-M CSO received a report that
a company was going to repossess
a vehicle in Boardman.
-MCSO received a report o f two
goats out along a road in Boardman.
The goats were corralled.
-MCSO, Boardman Police Dept,
officer arrested Sergio Jimenez, 21,
on an Imgon Justice Court warrant
for Failure to Appear/Dnvmg while
License Suspended and Failure to
Dim Lights. He was lodged at the
Umatilla County Jail with $6,000
bail.
-M CSO received a report from
dogs in the neighborhood.
-M CSO received a report o f a
suspicious person with luggage
walking on Highway 730 and acting
strangely. A deputy was unable to
locate the person.
-MCSO received a report o f a
suspicious vehicle at the service
station in Boardman. The dnver had
a credit card rejected.
-M CSO received a report o f a
panic alarm at Bake's Restaurant
in Im gon. It was a false alarm.
-Im gon ambulance received a
report from Imgon o f a 67-year-old
female with severe stomach pam.
Transport to a hospital was refused.
-MCSO received a report from
a caller in Boardman that someone
had run into his fence. A juvenile
was cited for H it/Run Property
Damage, No O perator's License,
and No Insurance.
-M CSO received a report from
a caller in Im gon that her 13-year
-old daughter had run away to her
friend's house and would not come
home.
O c t 19: MCSO received a request
to be connected to Pioneer Memonal
Hospital in Heppner. The caller was
coming from Penland Lake with her
three-year-old son who had the croup
and was not breathing well. The call
was connected to the hospital after
it was confirm ed to be a non
em ergency.
- Im gon ambulance received a
request for an ambulance from the
TLC Care Center for a 78-year-old
diabetic male who had a plugged
catheter and was semi-conscious.
-Oregon State Police received
a report from a caller in Boardman
that his horse had been shot by a
hunter.
-M CSO, M.C. Emergency
M anagem ent received a report
relayed from a caller at Coalmine
Hill that a large passenger plane was
flying low, apparently headed to
Pasco, Washington, and had a long
silver cylinder in tow.
-M CSO, Im gon ambulance
received a report o f an 83-year-old
female who was sweating profusely.
She had a history o f heart problems
and had by-pass surgery. The patient
was transported to Good Shepherd
M edical C enter in Hermiston.
-MCSO received a request from
a Corps o f Engineers representative
to check on an area near the fish
hatchery for cam pers that were
supposed to be gone by last Monday.
- -Hepprter Firfe Dept, received a
report o f a grtiif fire on a hill behind
the caller's residence that was burning
out o f control. No structures, vehicles
or electric poles were threatened.
-M CSO received a report from
Boardman that a male and female
in an apartment were having a verbal
dispute.
-M CSO received a report from
a caller in Imgon that the Oasis RV

-MCSO received a report from
a caller in Im gon that shots were
fired east o f the Im gon Marina. A
deputy was unable to locate anyone.
-Oregon State Police received
a report that two subjects were trying
to flag down drivers on 1-84
westbound. A second report advised
that the subjects had hit a deer but
were okay.
-Heppner Police Dept, received
a report from UCSO that a male
subject had two flat tires and was
17 miles from Ukiah. Les Schwab
road service was requested.
-M CSO deputy cited Stephen
Dedman, 42, for Driving while
License Suspended Infraction and
Failure to Carry Insurance.
-MCSO received a report from
a caller in Im gon o f a family
disturbance. The caller wanted her
25-year-old son out o f the house.
-M CSO, Im gon Fire Dept,
received a report o f an illegal bum
in Im gon. The fire dept, also
responded to another illegal bum
across the street from the first.
O ct. 21: M CSO deputy cited
Salomon Hernandez Onhuela, for
No Operator's License and Violation
o f the Basic Rule, 76 mph in a 55
mph zone.
-Boardman Police Dept, received
a report o f loud music playing in
an apartment in Boardman; the caller
requested officers ask them to quiet
the music.
- Boardman Police Dept, received
a report o f baby items and a bicycle
dum ped in the Boardman Park
som etim e the previous night.
-M CSO received a report o f a
possible trespasser on property by
Root Lane in Boardman All was
okay; the hunter had perm report to
be there.
-Boardman Police Dept, received
a report that someone hit the caller's
vehicle sometime the previous night.
The caller thought he could identify
the vehicle that hit his car.
- Boardm an Police Dept, cited
Noe Melendez, 27, for Dnving while
License Suspended Violation and
Dnving Uninsured. The vehicle was
impounded.
-M CSO received a report from
Imgon o f a vehicle broken into and
numerous items stolen; the theft had
occurred within the last three-four
days.
-MCSO Dept, received a request
for officer help in Boardman for a
woman who had fallen and needed
assistance getting up.
-Oregon State Police received
a report o f a Jeep driving all over
the road and speeding.
-M CSO received a report from
a caller in Heppner o f a grass fire
out o f control. The fire was put out.
-M CSO received a report o f a
fire near the Kinzua G olf Course.
Pioneer Resources was contacted
and would take care o f it.
-Boardman Police Dept, officer
cited a juvenile for No Operator's
License and D a vmg Uninsured and
cited M aria M orales, 47, for
Permitting Unlawful Operation. The
vehicle was towed then released
-M CSO received a report o f a
burglary alarm at a residence The
door was found ajar but no one was
discovered.
-Oregon State Police received
a report o f a female subject walking
eastbound on the westbound lane
o f 1-84 away from a disabled vehicle
just east o f the Heppner junction
-M CSO received a report o f a
pickup along Highway 207 that was
a possible hazard. It was determined
not to be a hazard
-M CSO deputy cited Lorena
Alaniz, 22. for Violation of the Basic
Rule, 75 mph in a 55 mph zone.
-Oregon State Police received
a report from a caller on 1-84
eastbound that a naked man jumped
in front o f her vehicle.
Oct. 22: MCSO received a report
that the flash flood system in
Heppner was down. The Corps o f
Engineers was contacted.
-MCSO received a report from
a caller in Irrigon that her ex-
boyfriend was hitting holes in the
wall and she wanted him out o f her
residence. The parties were
separated. The m ale subject was
taken to the Im gon Justice Court
and then to Sentry M arket to call
a ride from Salem.
-M CSO received a request for
an extra patrol on Tower Road as
vehicles were passing school buses
and running stop signs.
-Heppner Police Dept, received
a report that for the last 10 days,
a m ale subject had been taking a
white bag downtown near the Miller's
M ini-M art building and dropping
it off.
-M CSO received a report from
a caller in lone that her three-year
-old son drank bleach from a bottle
but was unsure o f the amount. She
was advised not to give him anything
to eat or drink. Dr. W enberg and
Poison Control were contacted and
would take care o f the situation.
-M CSO, Heppner Fire Dept,
received a report from a caller in
Heppner that a shop was on fire
behind her residence. The fire was
put out and m opped up.
-M CSO, Oregon State Police
received a report o f a motor home
broken down on 1-84 westbound.
The caller requested their insurance
roadside assistance be contacted as
they could not get them on their cell
phone.
-Heppner Police Dept, officer
cited Steven James Doyle, 34, for
Dnving while License Suspended-I,
No Insurance, Failure to Renew
Registration and Illegal U-tum. The
vehicle was impounded.
-MCSO, Boardman Police Dept,
received a report o f a pickup
speeding through the Frontier Trailer
Park in Boardman. Juan Reyes-
Martinez, 21, was cited for Reckless
Driving. Juan Jose Covarrubias-
Casas, 25, was arrested for Resisting
Arrest and Interfenng with a Peace
Officer. He was lodged at the
Umatilla County Jail with $12,000
bail.
-Oregon State Police received
a report of a pickup towing a vehicle
on 1-84 eastbound with no lights
on the trailer.
-MCSO received a hang-up 911
call from a residence in Boardman
On call-back, it was determ ined

that a vehicle was partially blocking
her vehicle. The problem was
resolved.
-Heppner Ambulance, USFS,
Air-Life received a report o f a tree
falling across a camp located near
the M adison Butte lookout. One
subject had leg mjunes; another had
back injuries. The patients were
transported to Pioneer M emorial
Hospital m Heppner.
Oct. 23: Boardman Police Dept,
officer cited Gabmo Montes Ramos,
21, for Failure to Show P roof o f
Insurance and Failure to Obey Traffic
Control Device.
-MCSO deputy cited Benedicto
Hernandez Hernandez, 21, for
Dnving while License Suspended-I
and Daving Uninsured. The vehicle
was impounded.

received a report o f a 84-year-old
