He was also cited for Driving while License Suspended infraction and Failure to Obey Traffic Control Device. He was lodged at Umatilla County Jail with $ 12,645 bail. The vehicle was impounded. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report o f a dog left in an abandoned vehicle between the 76 Station and the Nomad in Boardman. The owner got the dog and left. -MCSO deputy assisted Oregon State Police in stopping a vehicle in Irrigon. -M CSO received a report o f a semi-truck all over the roadway on 1-84 eastbound. The vehicle was stopped; the driver was given a verbal warning and released. -Boardman Police Dept, officer cited Thanh T Nguyen, 22, for Failure to Carry Proof o f Insurance and Failure to Obey Traffic Control Device. S ep t 27: Boardman Police Dept, officer advised he was trying to stop a motorcycle with no lights on that wouldn't stop. MCSO, Oregon State Police assisted but were unable to locate the motorcycle. -M CSO received a request for information from a caller from Mid- Colum bia Bus Co. regarding a possible problem with a parent whose child was removed from a bus. The caller was advised MCSO could not do a civil standby without a court order. -MCSO deputy assisted in picking up Daniel Roy Walchli, 27, to be lodged at the Umatilla County Jail on a Um atilla County parole and probation violation. -MCSO received a request for deputy contact in Boardman regarding the neighbor's dog in the caller's yard again. The dog was wrapped around her dog's tie stake with a chain. -Oregon State Police received a request for a truck inspection. -Oregon State Police received a report o f a vehicle on 1-84 westbound that was driving erratically and braking suddenly. -MCSO, Boardman Ambulance received a request for an ambulance at RD Offutt Farms in Boardman. A male subject had been run over by a fully loaded potato truck and had a severe leg injury. -Boardman Police Dept, officer arrested Cindy L. Messersmith, 40, on an Imgon Justice Court warrant. -MCSO received a request from a Heppner subject who wanted advice about getting n d o f horses that his tenants own. The horses were chewing up the caller's corrals. -M CSO received a report from Im gon that a 15-year-old juvenile ran away from home. -MCSO received a report from Boardman o f several batteries stolen from equipment. -Heppner Police Dept, received a report o f a pickup all over the road1 on Highway 74 between Lexington and Heppner. -M CSO deputy cited Antonio Ruiz, 48, for Violation o f the Basic Rule, 83 mph in a 65 mph zone and Driving while License Suspended violation. -Oregon State Police received a report o f a deer hit off Highway 207 out o f Lexington that needed to be put down. -Heppner ambulance received a request for an ambulance for a person in Hardman who had fallen and was bleeding from the head. Transport was refused. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Imgon that juveniles were pounding on her windows. Sept. 28: MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report from a caller at Dodge City Inn in Boardman that a 49-year-old male had fallen and injured his ankle. An officer advised the subject was intoxicated and had lost feeling in the nght side o f his body. There was no response from the Boardman Ambulance and Imgon was paged. -Oregon State Police, Sherman County Sheriff s Office received a report from Moro that someone cut the back legs o ff o f a deer and left it alive. It was attempting to crawl on its rem aining legs. -M CSO, Oregon State Police received a report o f potato trucks in Irrigon driving too fast. -M CSO deputy cited Kent Wendell Cate, 33, for Driving while License Suspended misdemeanor. Violation o f the Basic Rule, 61 mph in a 45 mph zone, Dnving Uninsured and on circuit court warrants for Felony Possession o f a Firearm, Failure to Appear-C Felony and local charges o f Felony Possession o f a Firearm. He was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail. A celebration o f life memorial Mass was held at Our Lady o f Angels Catholic Church in Hermiston on Thursday, N ovem ber 8, 2001. Disposition was by crem ation. The third o f eight children, she was bom August 22,1937, at Baker C ity, to John Joseph and Edith M axine McNair. She attended St. Francis Academ y in Baker City. In the summer o f 1955, she met Adolph M. Dowdy at a grange dance in Haines. They were m arried Decem ber 31,1955, at St. Francis Cathedral in Baker City. Throughout their m arried life, the couple lived in Baker City, Prineville, Parkdale, Tillamook, and La Grande and for a short time in Wicksburg, Arizona and Greenleaf, Idaho. For the last two years they had been residents o f Irrigon. In 1987, Mrs. Dowdy decided to obtain a business degree, so she ■ entered Eastern Oregon University in La Grande, and worked toward an associate degree in business. At the age o f 50, her dream was realized. Mrs. Dowdy had many interests and hobbies including traveling, pottery, oil painting, golf, fishing, and occasionally writing a scalding letter to the editor. According to family, she had a sharp dry wit, a loving heart, and a great love for her family. She was a member o f Our Lady o f Angels Catholic Church in Hermiston. Survivors include her husband o f 45 years, Adolph Dowdy, o f Irrigon; daughter, Janis Hastings o f the Tri-Cities, Washington; son, Joe Dowdy ofFort Collins, Colorado; brothers, David McNair o f Vandilia, Illinois, Mark McNair o f Hood River, Bill McNair o f Portland, and Hugh M cN air o f Baker City; six grandchildren, one great- granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.
