Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner Oregon Wednesday, July 4. 2001 - FIVE Sheriff's Report The Morrow County Sheriffs Office (MCSO) reports handling the following business: May 14: MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report from the Texaco station in Boardman o f a possible open container and underage alcohol consumption. -MCSO received a report of a male walking on the Bombing Range Road. He had run out of gasoline. He was given a lift to Cascade Specialties. -MCSO received report of $800 in $100 bills taken from a gun safe outside Heppner. -MCSO received a report of people changing the plates on the caller's vehicles and carrying a gun. -Irrigon ambulance received a request for an ambulance for a 77-year-old with a history of heart problems who was experiencing lightheadedness, dizziness and numbness on the right side. The patient was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept., Boardman ambulance received a request for an ambulance for a six-year-old female having a seizure. It was her second in one hour. No transport was made. -MCSO received a request for a deputy to check on a residence in Irrigon for a possible suspect in a hit and run accident that occurred in Hermiston a few days ago. -Heppner Police Dept, officer arrested Kathy Jo Hamner, 31, for Failure to Pay Fine/Maintainmg a Dog as a Public Nuisance. She was also cited for No Operator's License, No Insurance and Failure to Carry Registration. The vehicle was towed. -MCSO received a report from Boardman that the caller's neighbor passed her kids on the road and the pickup window hit the kids. No medical assistance was needed but a deputy contact was requested. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report o f a non- mjury motor vehicle accident at Paul Smith RoadAVilson Road. The vehicle was towed per the owner's request. -MCSO, Oregon State Police, Boardman Tire Dept., Boardman ambulance received a fcjrtfrt of a rollover motor vehicle accident on 1-84 eastbound. Richard Dean Boggs, 31, o f Portland was taken into custody for DUII and lodged at the Umatilla County Jail. -MCSO received a report of three gunshots fired in lone. The ‘ caller went outside and heard juveniles then heard three to four more shots fired, possibly .22 caliber or a small hand gun. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report o f a juvenile getting into mailboxes and ripping mail in Boardman. -MCSO, Heppner Police Dept. . received a report o f a dog lost. It was last seen at the owner's residence outside Lexington. May 16: MCSO received a report o f a possible violation of a restraining order and release agreement. -MCSO received a report from Irrigon of three 12-14-year-old juvenile males inside the newspaper recycle bin on Main Street near the Irrigon Justice Court. -MCSO, Irrigon Fire Dept, received a report from Irrigon of a possible oven fire. Smoke was visible but there were no flames yet. -MCSO received a report o f a burglar alarm at a shop in Potlatch. It was a false alarm. -MCSO received a report of a white male with dark hair forcing a door open in Irrigon which appeared to be the same way the caller's residence was entered. The caller saw the male's truck again a few nights later. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact regarding an assault at Columbia Middle School in Irrigon. -MCSO received a report from Imgon of three juvenile males who tried to steal bottles from Bake's. They were last seen at Gregg's Tavern -MCSO received a request for an officer contact from an Imgon caller regarding a woman that tries to run vehicles off the road that the caller's son is in. -MCSO received a report from a caller at the Imgon Sentry Market that a white vehicle with four juveniles on the hood drove into the parking lot. The driver stopped quickly and all the juveniles fell off. They got back on the hood and the vehicle left going southbound on First Street. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept received a report of a big truck running into the Dodge City building. Yellow tape was requested to rope off the area. -MCSO received a report that a school bus was parked in front of the old high school in Imgon with its lights on. Mid-Columbia Bus Co. was contacted. -MCSO received a report of a woman in Boardman harassing the caller and attempting to steal a van and trailer. The woman wasn’t there at the time of the call. -Boardman Police Dept, officer arrested Christopher James Gardner, 32, for Theft I and Obstruction of Governmental or Judicial Administration. He was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail. May 17: MCSO received a report of the warrant arrest of Brian Victor Hoge, 37, for Assault IV/Harassment. He is serving a sentence in Idaho, but has a hold placed on him for Morrow County. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact regarding a stolen saddle the office was contacted about previously. Contact was made and Sherman County Sheriffs Office advised of the situation. -MCSO, Oregon State Police, ODOT, Heppner ambulance received a report of a motor vehicle rollover accident on Highway 207. No transport was made and the vehicle was towed. -MCSO, Oregon State Police Game Dept, received a request to speak to an OSP game officer regarding someone shooting from the backhoe of a neighbor's property in Boardman. The caller was concerned for the doves and fox she's feeding. -MCSO received a report that Daniel Alan Mathews, 45, was arrested on a detention warrant. He was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail. -MCSO received a report o f a wallet lost at Tower and Kunze roads. -MCSO received a report that the caller's 13-year-old daughter was kicked out o f her mother's house in Imgon. -MCSO cited three disorderly juveniles. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report of a vehicle parked in front of a fire hydrant at Riverside High School in Boardman. -MCSO received a report from Boardman that the caller's daughter was assaulted at school and on the bus. -Umatilla Police Dept, officer airested Jose Luis Sangumo, 35, on a warrant for Failure to Pay Fine/Driving while License Suspended and on a local charge of three counts of Public Indecency. He was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Im gon that someone might have broken into her house. -MCSO received a report from the Boardman Texaco that a person had just shoplifted an item and harassed the store attendant. -Portland Police Dept, officer arrested Nick Michael Yukich, 24, on an Imgon Justice Court warrant of Failure to Appear/Driving while License Suspended. He was lodged at the Multnomah County Jail. -MCSO received a report of cows out on Highway 206 for three miles. The caller thought he knew who they belonged to. MCSO received a report of a hit owl. The caller said it was still alive but couldn't fly. The ODFW would attempt to find the owl in the morning. May 18: MCSO received a report of a suspicious male in the area for the last one to two weeks. An officer was unable to locate the subject. -MCSO received a report of someone riding a four-wheeler up and down the road. It was a county employee spraying weeds. -MCSO received a report of an Hispanic male walking past the caller's residence and heading west. -MCSO received a report of a wrong-way dnver going westbound in the eastbound lanes on 1-84. The caller thought the vehicle left the interstate and requested a check of the driver if found. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact regarding a vehicle release. -MCSO received a report from Imgon of a calf stuck in wire. The owners came home and got the calf unstuck. -MCSO received a report of two semi trucks speeding on 1-84. One semi was stopped and warned. -Washington County Sheriffs Office advised they have Avery A Aaron, in custody on an Imgon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Appear/Driving while License Suspended. He was lodged at the Washington County Jail. -MCSO, Irrigon ambulance received a request for an ambulance for an 80-year-old female with a history of heart problems and with a possible blood clot in her leg. The patient was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston. -MCSO, Oregon State Police received a report from a man in Irrigon that another person was at his residence with a gun. May 19: MCSO deputy recited Matthew Wilson, 20, for Driving while License Suspended Infraction and Speed Racing. -MCSO, Boardman Fire Dept, received a report of a small grass fire located between Tidewater and Oregon Hay on the north side of the railroad tracks. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept received a request for an officer for a minor non-injury motor vehicle accident at the Boardman 76 station. -MCSO received a report o f a boat rescue on McCormacks Slough. The rescue was successful with the boat to be towed and the two passengers taken back to Boardman. -MCSO received a request for an extra patrol regarding an ongoing problem with loud music. -MCSO, Oregon State Police, ODOT received a report of a stalled semi truck on Highway 207 north of Lexington that was blocking traffic. -MCSO, Heppner Police Dept, received a report of a motion detector alarm set off on the ground floor of Heppner Elementary School. -MCSO, Oregon State Police received a report of an old man sitting along the side o f the road on 1-84. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a request for a deputy contact to file a complaint against Hayden Homes. The caller said sand from the construction site across from his residence was blowing into his yard. -MCSO received a report of a red Ford extended cab peeling out near the caller's parents' house. The garage window screen was cut but nothing was taken. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, arrested Jose De Jesus Marcias- Garcia, 36, for DUII. May 20: MCSO, Heppner Police and Fire depts. received a report of two garbage containers on fire, one in front o f Central Red Apple Jennifer Cwrrin Gwtrit^c Financial Advisor Retirement Planning and the other in front of the senior center. The fires were extinguished and the fire dept, is investigating. -MCSO received a report of a vehicle parked in the middle of the roadway on Highway 74 . I he caller got the driver to move the vehicle but it was still close to the fog line The caller didn’t know if the driver was intoxicated. -MCSO deputy cited a juvenile for MIP and Possession of Ixss than One Oz. Marijuana and cited another juvenile for MIP. Both were cited and released. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept received a report of a possible motor vehicle accident in Boardman. The occupant of one vehicle fled on foot and occupants of the other vehicle were not located. One of the vehicles was impounded as the suspect vehicle in a hit and run. A citation was later issued to Erik Rameriz. 19, for Hit and Run Property Damage. -MCSO. Boardman Police Dept received a report o f a break-in at an apartment in Boardman. -MCSO, Heppner Police Dept, received a report o f a break-in in a Heppner Elementary School classroom. -MCSO received a report of keys locked in a vehicle in Boardman. The locksmith was notified. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report of a white Camaro speeding up then braking in front of the caller on Highway 730 going to Boardman. -MCSO received a report o f a hang-up 911 call from Imgon. There was no emergency and everyone at the apartments appeared okay. -MCSO received a hang-up 911 call from Imgon. It was an on-going disturbance. -MCSO received a report o f a boxer dog breaking loose from its chain at a residence down the road from the caller's house and going into the caller's yard in Irrigon. -MCSO received a report of two people punching the caller and a girl. When recontacted a female subject advised that the suspects w ere brothers of her and the caller. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report o f a custody dispute in Boardman. The caller's ex-husband had not returned the children and they were supposed to be back approximately l '/2 .hours previously. -MCSO received a report that the caller was parked in the roadway by Sentry Market in Imgon talking to another person when a vehicle honked, drove by, yelled an obscenity, told the caller to get off the road then made a threat to find him. The caller wanted to report the incident in case something happened to his vehicle. -MCSO, Heppner City received a report that there was no water in the area of Canyon Lane in Heppner. The city was notified and was going to fix the problem. May 21: MCSO received a -MCSO received a report that the caller's daughter was coming from Portland and stopping at Condon, but had not arrived to Heppner yet. She was located -MCSO, Imgon ambulance received a request for an ambulance from the Imgon Clinic for a 50-year- old male experiencing chest pains The patient was transported to C iood Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston -MCSO. Boardman Fire Dept, received a report from Boardman of smoke coming from the caller’s bathroom. There were no flames seen and the smoke was coming from an unknown source. -MCSO received a report from a subject calling from a friend's home in Hermiston to complain about people again. A separate subject then called from Boardman to report the first subject threatening and harassing them. -MCSO receiv ed a report from Kegler's Sentry Market that a neighbor saw two males in a pickup take a bag of cans from the Pepsi truck. -MCSO. Boardman Police and Fire depts. received a report that a male was draining gas into a ditch. -MCSO, Imgon Fire Dept.. Umatilla Electric Co. received a report from Imgon that something exploded, possibly an electric box. and set the grass on fire w hich w as threatening residents. -MCSO received a report from Washington that the caller’s husband left to go to Lexington Cenex then to Anson Wright Park to fish, but hadn't shown up in Lexington yet. -MCSO received a request from the Hermiston Police Dept, to check on a vehicle in Imgon that was suspected to be involved in a hit and run at Wal-Mart. -MCSO received a report from the Heppner Police Dept, that a man advised thre were several subjects at the Willow Creek Reservoir w ho were intoxicated and causing problems. A deputy advised several people were leaving the dam. -MCSO, Boardman Fire Dept, receiv ed a report of a grass fire near the railroad tracks. -MCSO. Boardman Police Dept, received a request for a contact in Boardman regarding threats recei v ed over the telephone. -MCSO. Boardman Police Dept, receiv ed a report of two hang-up 911' calls m..Boardman from the same number. It was a male subject from an earlier contact. -MCSO, Oregon State Police received a report of a tractor trailer on 1-84 westbound with several large rocks on the bumper The caller was concerned they would blow off and hit another vehicle. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact in Imgon regarding the caller's 17-year-old daughter dating a 22 year old. The deputy . contact advised the daughter was amissingperson-juvenile/runaway and was entered as such. The daughter was later located. The driver was contacted and warned. -MCSO received a request for a deputy to file a stalking complaint against another person. -MCSO received a request for a deputy regarding a theft from a carport in Imgon -MCSO, lone EMTs. Heppner ambulance received a request for a transport from lone for a 65-year- old female with severe abdominal pain. The patient was transported to Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Heppner -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report of a hang-up 911 call from Boardman. The area was checked and an officer was unable to locate anyone. -MCSO received a report that a green Ford Expedition passed a flagger and a pilot car. -MCSO received a report from Imgon Motors of a recovered U- Haul stolen out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Deputy contact was requested. -MCSO received a request for deputy contact regarding renters not taking care of their dog. -MCSO, Oregon State Police received a report of a white semi truck with thick black smoke coming out o f the sleeper cab. The truck was still enroute on 1-84 eastbound. -MCSO received a report of a panic alarm in Imgon. It was a false alarm. -MCSO received a report that Mark Anthony Goldsby, 44, was arrested on a Heppner Justice Court warrant for Failure to Pay Fine/Failure to Appear. Officer contact was requested. May 22: MCSO received a report of an abandoned vehicle and trailer at Anson Wright Park.
