Items of Health - Tobacco Prevention
With much pleasure and great
pride for the City of lone, the
Tobacco Education and Prevention
Program for Morrow County
announces that lone has chosen to
go tobacco free from July 9-14. By
giving this small event a lot of
attention, we are hoping to create
more interest in tobacco-free
environments here in Morrow
County. Therefore, we are asking
for your support.
Betty Gray, lone's mayor, has
issued a proclamation to lend
authenticity, encouragement and
to broaden efforts to promote this
event. We are in the initial planning
state and so are open to suggestions
in regards to specific events. One
certainty, however, is that the
restaurant, Beecher's, will be
tobacco-free during this time,
possibly adding a special menu item
or two along with some
entertainment - specifics to be
announced.
Our most immediate task is to
"get the word out" to as many folks
as possible inviting them to
participate in any way that works
for them. People can contact us
accordingly: Mayor Betty Gray or
city clerk Cindy Doherfy-phone
