Math contest winners announced
By Rick Paullus
An eight-run fourth inning by
the visiting Pendleton freshmen
was too much for the Heppner
Mustang JV baseball team as the
Mustangs fell 12-0 in five innings
on Monday, April 9.
The loss drops the Mustangs'
record to 5-1 on the year with their
next game at Weston-McEwen on
Monday, April 16.
The Mustangs had the bases
loaded twice and runners at second
and third twice, but couldn't get
the clutch hit to put runs on the
board. Kyler Lovgren, Ben Turrell
and Robert Whalen were the only
Mustangs to get hits as the Bucks'
pitchers kept them off balance the
entire game.
