A hard working group of
volunteers has put in long hours
on a new logo and marketing plan
for Heppner through a Downtown
and Identification marketing grant,
which Jerry Breazeale was
successful in obtaining. Some have
had the opportunity to view the new
logo and we're excited. You'll be
seeing it on the website and in a
variety o f places. The slogan...
"Heppner. we feel good all over!"
For quite a few years. Kate's crew
has been preparing lunch for the
Chamber of Commerce. They have
treated us well with a weekly variety
o f lunches and special dinners for
annual occasions. Kathy and Vicki
w ere nght on top of accommodating
the needs o f the Chamber and
working with us. All the staff has
been pleasant and we will miss them.
A number o f times Kate's catered
our annual luncheons. We wish them
well in their new endeavors and
know that the remaining folks will
take good care of customers as they
transition into new management
and renovation. They're still open
for business.
Change... Chamber will begin
meeting at new member GD's
Restaurant starting on Tuesday,
March 6, for a few months, with
the goal to be fair and patronize all
members as the year moves along.
There will be some confusion each
Tuesday as you see many a Chamber
member standing on the sidewalk
scratching their heads over where
lunch is. How long does ft take to "
"teach an old dog new tricks?" For
some o f us, quite awhile.
Ginger Keithley, Chamber
volunteer, is handling the Chamber
office this week as Chamber
President Sharon Harrison and I
attend the Northwest Chamber
Leaders Conference in Sun River.
We hope the speakers and
networking will lead to new and
innovative ideas for the Heppner
Chamber o f Commerce and the
community.
Next week: all entities report.
Thought for the week: "You never
know when you're making a
memory." ...RLJ
