account name, meter number,
date of reading and the meter

At their last 4-H meeting on
Dec. 1, Pins and Pots and
Patterns and Pans club members
started and finished their
community service project,
which was flags for the
swimming pool.
The group handed out awards
that
members
got
from
achievement night. Mary Jean
Meyer got a pin as a first-year
leader. The first and third year
people got their pins. Members
all got awards for participating in
4-H last year. They also found
out that their last year's group
won the silver group award.
The club gave Mary Jean a
going-away present. Members
will all really miss her this year.
Rhea Creek Social Club meeting
The Rhea Creek Social Club
held a Christmas party potluck at
the home of Marlene Peterson
Members brought lap robes to
give to Pioneer Memorial
Nursing Home. They also
brought canned goods which
were taken to the Neighborhood
Center.
The next meeting will be held
at GD's Restaurant (Cal's
Restaurant) at 10 am . on
Wednesday, Jan. 10. The
meeting will be continued at the
Neighborhood Center where
group members will make
Valentines. Members are asked
to bring supplies.

Commission meet BMCC Spanish class set in lone
The monthly meeting of the
Morrow County Commission on
Children and Families will be
held on Tuesday, Jan. 9, from 6-8
p.m. in the conference room of
the Family Service Center above
Heppner Hardware.
Agenda items include a report
from Lindsay Ward about her
conference in Washington, D C.,
a parenting support review
update, a discussion of the
Federal Emergency Food and
Shelter Program, the Boardman
Preschool and request for
proposals discussions.
The public is invited to attend
and participate in the discussions.

Spanish Basics has been added
to the Blue Mountain Com­
munity College South Morrow
County schedule.
The class will be offered
beginning Tuesday, Jan. 9, at
lone Elementary School and will
be taught by Nohemi Estrada-
Suro.
The class will meet Tuesday
and Wednesday evenings from 7-
8 p.m. and will run for 10 weeks.
Subject areas to be covered
will include basic grammar,
conversational patterns and basic
Spanish, such as greetings,
questions, directions, numbers
and more.
Cost of the class is $40. Pre­
registration is required and may
be completed by calling Anne
Morter, BMCC coordinator for
South Morrow County, 422-
