The above photo appeared in last year's Morrow County Chronicles, with only Elinor Cohn
(Shank) and Mary Beamer (Goheen) identified. Since then some of the other children have been
identified.
The date is about 1918 It is o f a "Tom Thumb Wedding," a money-raising promotion o f Heppner’s
Federated Church. The children, aged 5 to 15, were from several churches.

a public hearing September 5,
2000, before the Heppner Plan­
ning Commission, to accept testi­
mony regarding whether Colum­
bia Basin Electric Cooperative
may be allowed to move under­
ground power lines from certain
areas within Rasmussen Lott Ad­
dition, the City o f Heppner, and
replace said underground lines
with overhead lines. This heanng
is to recommend policy to the City
Council of the City of Heppner
regarding changing existing under­
ground power lines to overhead
power lines within and immedi­
ately adjacent to Rasmussen Lott
Addition.

HEREBY GIVEN, that on Sep­
tember 13, 2000, the Board of
Commissioners (the “Board”) of
the Port of Morrow, Oregon (the
“Port”) will hold a regular meet­
ing commencing at approximately
1:30 p.m. The public meeting will
be held at the regular meeting
place of the Board, at the offices
of the Port, located at Two Ma­
rine Drive, Boardman, Oregon
97818.
The purpose of the meeting is
to consider an ordinance or reso­
lution authorizing the proposed
plan o f financing w hereby
Threemile Farms, LLC, an Ore­
gon limited liability company (the
“Company”) has requested the
issuance by the Port o f up to
$20,000,000 industrial develop­
m ent revenue bonds (the
"Bonds”), in one or more series,
for the purpose of acquiring, con­
struction and installing certain solid
waste disposal facilities which are
an integral part of the Company’s
three proposed dairies and to pay
costs of issuance of the Bonds.
Additional information may be
obtained from the Board of Com­

a lot o f good friends in this short
time and have had the pleasure of
