This year the Morrow County
Fair
will
feature
the
contemporary Christian band,
"Destiny Road," which has a
performance
scheduled
on
Saturday, Aug. 19, from 3:30-
4:30 p.m.
Destiny Road performed in
Heppner on St. Patrick's Day.
One of the members, Dave
Florea, is formerly of Heppner.
Most of the band's material is
original, with all five members of
the band writing various songs.
This band is very energetic and
fun to watch with lots of
audience participation. Although
the music will be appealing to
the "30-something" group, with a
beat similar to the Eagles, this
band is enjoyable for the whole
family.
The Morrow County Fair
Committee is bringing back a
favorite from last year, young
country singer Zac Grooms from
Arlington.
Zac will perform on Thursday,
Aug. 17, from 3-5 p.m.
Come and enjoy.
Hands On Science
for kids at the fair
Try your skill at the
Monster Truck Race
Do you want to show your
ability to drive a monster truck?
Amlie Enterprises will bring
their remote control monster
truck race game to the Morrow
County Fair.
One to four individuals will be
able to race on a self-contained
track that consists of jumps and
other obstacles. The players
Zac Grooms
control their vehicles from
steering wheels and are capable
of going forward and reverse.
This is an experience which is
great fun for both player and
spectators. So come on out to the
fair and join in on the fun.
This game will be in place
Wednesday through Saturday at
the far end of the pavilion.
Kids of all ages are invited to
explore science at the Morrow
County Fair.
Hands on Science will offer
"science projects you can make
and take” on Friday, August 18,
from 1-4 p.m. Organizer Sarah
Carlson said that six-eight
different projects will be offered
throughout the afternoon at
approximately
half-
hour
intervals.
There is no charge to
