Fair herdsmanship contest reinstated
A Herdsmanship Contest will
again be held at the Morrow
County Fair this year, after a one
year hiatus.
"Last year we tried something a
little different and it did not have
the desired effect," said Morrow
County OSU Extension agent
fair book.
The Livestock Judging Contest
is back by popular request too.
"The last couple of years we
have had judging clinics at the
fair and not a contest," said
Broderick. "This year we will
again have a Livestock Judging
Contest." There will be two
classes of beef, sheep and swine
and an oral reasons class.
Bill Broderick. "Also, many
people wanted the contest back."
The contest will be conducted
much the same as in the past. It
will be a club contest rather than
an individual contest. Contest
guidelines can be found in the

Meet Tiko the Ciown
Kids are invited to play with
"Tiko the Clown” on Thursday,
Aug. 17, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at
the Morrow County Fair.
This year the Morrow County
Fair Committee has been busy
planning the Kick-Off Dance,
held Friday, August 4, and the
entertainment for the fair. They
have spent numerous hours in
planning, advertising and getting
everything scheduled.
If you have any ideas about
what you would like to see at
next year's fair, why don't you
join the group and help out. They
would appreciate having your
help.
The members of the Fair
Committee are Ellen Kennedy,
Renee
Yocom,
Stacey
Wainwright, Denise Betsinger,
C.J. Johnson, Martha Munkers
and Sheri Gregory. Contact one
of these women for further
information.
