We sold out by 11 a.m. Now, August will be full of ideas suggested by the Activities Committee. In our front room August 7 at 7 p.m. will be the first meeting of the Pinsky Poetry Project, so named because it was initiated by the United States Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky who encourages all who like poetry to come together to read and share their favorite poems. It is our way of joining groups from all over America who like poetry. Sometimes we hear some of these poems on the Lehrer News at 7 p.m. on Oregon Public Broadcasting, Channel 10. Wouldn't it be great if someone from Heppner, Lexington or lone was chosen to appear there? August 13, the second Sunday, will be a potluck dinner at 1 p.m. in the dining room, followed by recreation-games, cards and a surprise. We had a good time in July and can look forward to this one. Then we are offering a food concession of melons, ice cream cones and root beer floats at the Morrow County Fair.
