Music lovers enjoy a concert at the lone Park.
The city of lone is sponsoring
free music in the amphitheatre at
the lone City Park.
The Inland Northwest Chorale
and Willow Creek Valley
Symphony performed on July 2
and Tim Cundell performed on
July 9.
Upcoming concerts include the
Desert River Band on Saturday,
July 22, at 6 p.m., featuring
country and rock and roll.
On Saturday, July 29, the
Arlington Band will play at 6
p.m.
A group of Japanese grain buyers were in Heppner last week where they toured a couple of farms and
then enjoyed a barbecue at the golf course. The buyers are stationed in Portland. Above they are
welcomed by the Morrow County Fair & Oregon Trail Pro Ropeo queen and her court.

The Morrow County Creative
Arts and Crafts Club will discuss
ideas for the Morrow County
booth at their meeting on Thurs­
day, July 27 at 1 p.m. at Cal’s
Restaurant. The fair theme is,
“Echoes of the Past.”
Members are invited to bring
along artwork pertaining to the
past and old items or photos that
might add interest to the booth.
Visitors are welcome to attend.
