Elks hold Flag
Day service
Heppner Elk's Lodge held their
annual Flag Day Service on
Thursday June 15.
Those participating in the
service were the American
Legion Post #87, the Cub Scout
Pack which presented the flags,
and the Methodist Church Choir
which provided the music
honoring the flag.
The officers of Heppner Lodge
did readings pertaining to the
history of the flag.
Over 80 people were in
attendance.

Boardman July 4th "Hoop &
Holler" three-on-three Basketball
Tournament will be held
beginning at 1 p.m. at the
Boardman
Marina
Park
basketball courts during the
community's Fourth of July
celebration.
There are three age categories:
10-13; 14-16- and 17 and up.
Teams can be male, female or
coed.
This is a winner "split the pot"
tournament. Teams may consist
of four players, but only three
can play at a time.
