Lori Jean Moeller and Nicholas Emery Sarich
Chuck and Donna Moeller of Hermiston announce the
engagement of their daughter, Lori Jean Moeller, to Nicholas
Emery Sarich, son of Guy and Gerry Sarich of Parma, Idaho.
The bride -to-be is a 1997 graduate of Heppner High School and
a 1999 graduate of ITT Technical Institute of Boise, Idaho, with an
associate's degree in business technology and administration. She
is currently employed by Conveyor Engineering of Boise.
The groom-to-be is a 1997 graduate of Parma High School and
is currently attending Boise State University and working for
Inland Northwest District of Boise.
The couple is planning a July 15, 2000, garden wedding in
Parma. Idaho.

and upcoming marriage of their son, Seth Givens, to Nicole
Jackson, daughter of Tommy Jackson of Mountainburg, Arkansas,
and Elizabeth Pruitt of Alma, Arkansas.
The couple will exchange vows on July 20, 2000, at Rems Hill
Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Darrell Ezell will officiate.
The couple will reside in Mountainburg, Arkansas.

A program on herbs was
given by Jem Sly. She grows
many herbs and explained the
difference between herbs and
spices. A handout was given to
each member for recipes for the
best seasoning salt and how
use many different herbs.

Seth Givens and Nicole Jackson
Among guests at the Wednesday lunch last week was Bob
Grabill, a former business man on Heppner's Main Street where for
years he was manager of the Braden-Bell Tractor Co. After lunch
he and his friend and chauffeur. Sharon Muxlow, were surrounded
by old friends and neighbors, glad to visit with them They found
Bob, at 90, to have the same-as-always light heart and lively sense
of humor. Later he and Sharon enjoyed a drive to lone and through
the countryside.
Lunch was served to 82 with 14 take-outs. Members of Hope
Lutheran Church assisted, with their pastor "Dick" Metz offering
the table prayer.
Two tables of pinochle were in play on Friday. We invite all
players to make up four tables this Friday, from 1 to 4 p m with
coffee and goodies.
From the brainstormed list of possible services this center might
offer printed in the Bulletin Board last week, a second will now be
available; the first was the Pioneer Memorial Dinner This will be
a potluck dinner (free, of course) one Sunday a month followed by
games, cards, etc. "to suit our fancy." The first is planned for June
25 at 1:30 p.m.. In addition to those services printed last week, we
can have the following workshops here through the OSU Extension
Center: 1) Enjoying My Golden Years, Living Out a Sense of Who
I Am., 2) Along Came a Spider, Developing Social Networks. 3)
Simple Living, Choosing an Uncluttered. Focused, Rich Life, or 4)
Depression in Later Life, Turning Sadness Around. Most are one-
day workshops, with material applying to a range of ages. People
interested should call the office 676-9030 or the Extension 676-
9642.
The Senior Center Board meeting will be held Wednesday after
the meal at 1 p.m.
Also, blood pressure checked before lunch and a tour of the
apartments are still available after the meal.
