featured.
The Willow Creek Symphony
• now has some 50 musicians,
ranging in age from eight to 70.
The
group
has
grown
considerably in numbers this
year, partly because of an
increased number of Heppner
area violin students and also
because the group has drawn in
players from other areas. Several
players are coming from Long
Creek. The Long Creek School
District provides busing so that

Huskies
By Rick Paullus
The Heppner Mustangs
dropped their second non-league
game of the year to the Sherman
County Huskies, 10-2, on
Tuesday, April 4, in a cold,
windy game in Heppner.
The Huskies took a 1-0
lead in the first but the Mustangs
came back with two runs in the
second to take a short-lived lead.
Josh Hill hit a one-out double,
Allan Gribskov singled and
Travis Bellamy walked to lead
the bases.
With two outs,
Michael McCabe doubled down
the first base line to score two
but Bellamy was thrown out
trying to score.
The Huskies came back
with six runs in the third and two
more in the fourth to put the
game away.
Stefan Matheny pitched
well in relief, going four innings,
giving up just one earned run on
two hits.
