The Morrow County Sheriff s
Office (MCSO) reports handling
the following business:
- MCSO received report
of an erratic driver in a blue car
headed westbound on Hwy 730
from Umatilla to Imgon.
-MCSO received report
of a man hitting a woman inside
a house in lone.
-MCSO, OSP arrested
Joseph Gerald Schwab, 36, on a
Multnomah County warrant for
Possession of a Controlled
Substance II. He was lodged at
Umatilla County Jail.
-Irrigon
Ambulance
received
request
for
an
ambulance for a woman having
back trouble and unable to walk.
She was transported to Good
Shepherd Community Hospital.
-H eppner
Police
Department received a request
for an officer concerning a
stalking order.
-MCSO received request
for a deputy from Columbia
Middle School concerning a "kill
list" by a juvenile ward of the
court.
-Umatilla
County
Sheriffs Office arrested James
Howard Stark, 31, on Umatilla
County charges with a hold
played for Morrow County
charges.
He was lodged at
Umatilla County Jail with no
bail.
-OSP record report of a
speeding purple Ford on Hwy.
730 westbound. No one was
available.
-MCSO received report
of dogs chasing cows in Irrigon.
- Irrigon City Crew
received report of a septic tank
flooding and water entering a
house.
-MCSO,
Boardman
Police Department, OSP received
report of sounds of five-six semi
automatic
gun
shots
in
Boardman. Office was unable to
locate anything.
February 29-MCSO received
request for a welfare check, on a
H-yeari did ' who was- not
answering the phone. He*was
sleeping and said he will call his
sister.
-MCSO deputy gave a
ride to a subject from Boardman
to the county line on Hwy. 730.
-MCSO received report
of an alarm at Kegler's Sentry in
Irrigon. It was false alarm.
-MCSO received report
from a male subject that his
mother's ex had broken into the
house in Irrigon. When the man
realized the son was sleeping at
the home he took off.
-MCSO received report
o f a small earthquake in the
Condon area around 10:40 a.m.
-MCSO received report
of driver all over the road on 1-84
eastbound.
-MCSO received report
o f a 1-1/2 year-old Chesapeake
Bay Retriever that jumped out of
a pickup near A.C. Houghton
Elementary and should be
dragging his chain. Dog was
reported to be very friendly.
-OSP,

Department of Fish & Wildlife
received report of an elephant
tusk found up Jordan Grade
about a 1/2 mile from Hwy. 74.
-OSP received four 911
calls from Dept, of the Navy on
Tower Rd., Boardman, and all
disconnected and were busy on
call back. OSP advised that the
area is secure.
-Irrigon
Ambulance
received report from a women
that her 50-year-old mother-in-
law has been acting strange and
hasn't slept in 24 hours, refused
to eat and is saying strange
things. She was transported to
GSH.
-BPD, MCSO received
report of a neighbor dog barking.
When caller looked in her
backyard she saw a florescent
light and someone had turned off
her back porch light.
-HPD received report of
three
juveniles
smoking
downtown.
-MCSO received report
from the Imgon 76 station that a
shoplifter left the store on foot.
He allegedly stole a cupcake.
March
1-MCSO
received report from a man that a
red Ford Escort was messing
with him and was all over the
road on 1-84 EB. The subject was
stopped and given a warning. He
was
not driving under the
influence of intoxicants.
-BPD received request
for an officer following an
incident at the Trail Apartments
parking area.
- BPD received report of
a dog hit and needing to be put
down between part of Morrow
and the chip pick up plant.
-UPD arrested Connie
Ruth Walker, 36, on an Imgon
Justice Court warrant for Failure
to Appear on a citation for
Driving While Suspended. She
was lodged at UC Jail with
$6,000 bail.
-MCSO received report
of an alarm at Huwe's
Washboard in Irrigon. It was
cancelled.
-OSP received request
for assistance
at Linda's
Restaurant with a deranged
female who was threatening a
waitress. The waitress was afraid
the subject was going to pounce
on her.
-BPD received report of
a yellow cat in a driveway with a
possible broken back.
-City
of
Heppner
received report of broken glass at
Church and Gale streets.
-MCSO received report
from lone City Hall that someone
had driven through lone City
Park the previous night.
-Imgon Fire Department
received rept of a lot of smoke
coming from Division St. It was
a controlled bum.
-HPD received request
for officer from Heppner High
School for a minor in possession
of cigarettes and a lighter.
- HPD report of graffiti
on a pump house at the
fairgrounds across from the main
entrance.

a woman receiving prank phone
calls for the last three days.

her son was home and wanted an
office to arrest him for assault.

Bucknum's for a male locked in
the bathroom. The door knob
fell off.
-Juliana Wanous, 30,
Heppner, was arrested on a
Morrow County Circuit Court
warrant on charges of 11 counts
j f Burglary I, two counts of
Possession of a Controlled
Substance II, and 11 counts of
theft. She turned herself into the
UC Jail. Bail was set at $30,000.
-MCSO received request
for information on the county
noise ordinance.
March 2-MCSO, BPD
received report of a vehicle
driving WB in the EB lane on I-,
84. The subject was stopped just
past the Boardman exit and taken
to the Econo Lodge. The driver's
family was called to pick him
and the car up.
- MCSO received report
from an Irrigon man who said his
girlfriend took his vehicle
without his permission, but didn't
want to sign it stolen. The
female returned with the vehicle
and they began a verbal dispute
and then the parties separated.
-OSP received request
for an officer concerning a pit
bull chasing a woman's cattle on
her property.
-BPD received report of

-MCSO received report
of an audible intrusion alarm in
Imgon. It was false.
-BFD report of a brush
fire on 1-84 one mile west of
Boardman. It was an ODFW
controlled bum.

received report of a domestic
dispute in Boardman. A 17-year
old was cited for menacing.
- MCSO received report
of a brush fire near the county
line in Irrigon.
- MCSO received report
of suspicious circumstances.
March 3-HFD, Heppner
Ambulance received request for
assistance from a woman who
said she had fallen and needed
help getting up.
-HFD was paged to
secure the heli-pad for logger
who had a log run over him.
-MCSO received report
of a lost cow last seen the
previous day in a neighbor's
field.
-Arlington Ambulance,
Boardman Ambulance, ODOT,
MCSO, OSP received report of a
one-vehicle accident with one
subject ejected from the vehicle,
and bleeding. Two subjects, one
with a head injury, were
transported to GSH.
-OSP received report of
white 4-wheel drive swerving all
over the road on 1-84 WB.
-MCSO, ODFW report
of a grass fire on 1-84.
-MCSO received a 911
hang up call from the Imgon
Marina with the caller banging
the receiver on something.
Juveniles were contacted and
sent home.
-MCSO received request
for a deputy about an accident
with a pheasant on 1-84 Hwy.
730 Junction.
-MCSO received report
of a 14-year old stranded at the
Boardman Texaco.
March 4-MCSO received
report of big rocks on the
highway on 1-84 WB.
-MCSO received report from
a subject that his cousin hit him
in the face and gave him a
bloody nose.
-Paul Wayne Hawk, 26, was
arrested for Assault IV Domestic
and lodged at UC Jail with
$6,000 bail.
-MCSO cited Richard
Frederick Hinz, Irrigon, for
Driving
While
Suspended,
Driving
Uninsured,
Open
Container and Possession of Less
Than 1 Oz. Marijuana. The
vehicle was towed.
-MCSO cited Frank David
Battaglia, Irrigon, for Driving
While Suspended.
-HPD received report from a
male subject that his belongings
were missing from his apartment.
-MCSO received report of
cattle out again in Irrigon.
-HPD, MCSO received request
for an officer concerning
possible drug use.
-MCSO deputy arrested
Steven Kelley Bush, 32, for
violation of a release agreement
out of Walla Walla Sheriffs
Office. He was lodged at UC Jail.
-MCSO, BPD received report
of at least seven juveniles at the
Dodge City Inn in Boardman
possibly minors in possession.
The subjects left and the officer
was unable to locate anyone.
March 5-MCSO received
report of screaming, yelling and
fighting at a Lexington residence.
MCSO cited Heather Erin Davis,
18,
Christopher
Michael
Stillman, 20, Joshua E. Sharp,
18, and a 17-year-old for MIP
alcohol.
-OSP received report of a
domestic dispute in progress in
Imgon.
-MCSO arrested Kyle Hill, 23,
for Parole Violation/Detention
warrant, he was lodged at UC
Jail with no bail.
. -OSP received report of
suspicious dark colored sedan
parked funny on 1-84.
-MCSO received a 911 hang
up call in Boardman. Someone
had tried to come in the front
door of a residence and rattled
the handle. The deputy was
unable to locate anyone.
-MCSO received report of an
audible burglar alarm at Kegler's
Sentry in Irrigon. It was
cancelled.
-Multnomah County Sheriffs
Office arrested Randy Heiser, 35,
on an IJC warrant for Failure to

Suspended. Bail was set at $596.
-MCSO received report from a
woman who said her ex-husband
threatened to take the kids while
she was at work.
-Irrigon Ambulance received
report of an elderly female, who
was hard-of-hearing, disoriented
in Irrigon.
-MCSO received report from a
woman that she ws going to get
her things. She was advised to
make sure her ex-husband wasn't
there.
-MCSO received request from
Services to Children and
Families for a deputy to assist in
transporting a male subject from
Boardman to Irrigon.
-MCSO received report of a car
spray painted in lone.
-MCSO received a 911 call
from a child. An adult at the
residence confirmed there was no
injury and was advised to speak
to the child.
-MCSO, OSP received report
of a possible "rolling" domestic
dispute on 1-84.
-MCSO received report of a
horse and then a cow out in
Irrigon.
-MCSO received report of a
window broken sometime the
previous night in Boardman.
-UCSO received report from a
male subject that he is receiving
threats from an Irrigon subject.
-MCSO received report of a
missing/runaway
15-year-old
male in Boardman.

March 6- BFD received report
of a smoke alarm from a subject
who said he could smell smoke,
but couldn't locate it. It was a
chimney fire with no damage.
-MCSO received report of a
possible stolen vehicle at the
refuge that had been stripped and
dumped. It was a 1980's model
silver Honda Accord. The
vehicle was towed.

who wanted to talk to a deputy
concerning her daughter and
boyfriend
-received report of money
stolen out of a safe at the Irrigon
Mobile Court.
-received report that a woman
may try to abscond with a boy.
The boy was returned to his
father.
-MCSO arrested Kevin Hashel
Bond, 27, on a Umatilla County
Sheriffs Office warrant for
Failure To Appear/Driving
Under
the

Intoxicants. He was lodged at
the Umatilla County Jail with
$10,000 bail.
-received request to talk to
deputy concerning a van the
caller sold and an item that
weren't returned.
-received report of an alarm at
Patterson Ferry. It was a false
alarm.
-received report of an
emergency beacon signal from
Boardman area coordinates. The
signal was actually coming from
Washington State.
-received report of a backhoe
running all day and still running
at 10 p.m. and caller requested it
be shut down.
-received request of a barking
dog on the comer of California
and 3rd by the junior high in
Irrigon. The dogs were found,

lone Legion and Legion
Auxiliary met at Beecher’s
Restaurant in lone March 20 for
the annual Legion girthday
dinner.
Ten Legion members and 11
Auxiliary members received pins
marking special milestones in
membership.
A check for $520 was presented
to the Legion by the Auxiliary-
the amount received from the
foodless food sale held in March.
The money is to be used for
kitchen remodeling at the hall.
Irene Holtz brought the
scrapbook she has been working
on for the members. It was
enjoyed by all.

to be honored
Janice Skaggs, coordinator of
the Neighborhood Center of
South Morrow County, will be
honored at a retirement open
house at the center on Friday,
March 31, from 2-5:30 p.m.
Everyone is invited to join the
center's board of directors and

On March 17, the 4-H group
made homemade chili for the
Meyer's family. They also
worked on the banner that people
will see at fair.
Club members also drew names
for the next person to bring a
recipe to have the group cook.
They
drew

Bergstrom's name.

In May, the group will copjfc a
meal for Krystal Naims and her
family.
They are also are deciding on
what the fair projects are going
to be.
Critters With Attitude

Critters with attitude
held held their first meeting of
the year at the fairgrounds.
Club members elected
officers.
Sam VanLiew was
elected president; Nick Wilson,
vice-president; Heather Yocom,
secretary; Jessica Wainright,
treasurer; and Kylee Disque as
reporter.
The other members of the club
are Jason Wainright, Justin
Gregory and James Van Liew.
Members discussed fund raisers
and community service projects
for the upcoming year.
They filled out calendars
with future 4-H activities and
learned about parliamentary
procedure.
The next meetup was
planned for March 12.
