To all my friends,
Thank you for praying for me
and being patient with me during
this time of inactivity. When we
came here, Karen and I decided
that we were just going to work
for our friends. The problem is that
the people in this community are
so wonderful that we soon had so
many friends that we couldn’t
keep up and were having to turn
some of our friends away when
we really wanted to work for
them. Thank you for being so un
derstanding.
In November, my heart started
bucking worse and Karen noticed
a murmur. In December, my mi
tral valve gave way and became
non-functional. Realizing the se
rio u sn ess o f the situ a tio n , I
rushed right in to see Dr. Wendy
in the middle o f January. Since
then I have been under “house
arrest.” Even with a temporary
escape across state lines, I was
only able to keep the guy with the
chainsaw away from my chest
until March 2.
My surgeon is known for han
dling difficult cases. He only took
a couple o f extra hours with me.
With my new pig valve in place, I
entertained three shifts at the
CCU. They finally decided to only
keep me one extra day for good
behavior.
With Karen and Dr. Wendy as
my acting parole officers, I have
not been spending much time with
my form er com panions who
would tend to lead me back into
my former ways. However, we
do have a good inventory o f
branding supplies and Karen will
be available most o f the time.
Please call ahead to make sure
she hasn’t taken me somewhere
for a checkup about the time you
need something.
I will be a few weeks healing
up, but when I do get back into
action, it will have to be on a “by
appointment” basis. If we can’t
do it all, we at least want to do it
well.
Karen, Kristal and I would like
to thank all o f you for your friend
ship.
