The Morrow County Sheriffs
Office (MCSO) reports handling
the following business:
M CSO , B oardm an P olice
Dept, received a report of a found
Chihuahua. They gave it to a per
son to keep until the owner could
be found. The owner wanted to
give it away and the caretaker
wanted it, so the dog had a new
home for Christmas.
MCSO received a request for
an extra patrol at a residence in
Imgon.
MCSO, Oregon State Police,
ODOT, Rescue I, Boardman am
bulance received a report of a one
vehicle rollover on 1-84. It was a
non-injury accident.
MCSO received a report o f a
possible drunk driver at Riverview
Trailer Court in Irrigon. The ve
hicle kept leaving the space and
coming back.
Boardm an Police Dept, re
ceived a report o f a motion de
tector at Riverside High School.
The alarm was set off by a Christ
mas ornament.
MCSO received a report o f a
possible Unauthorized Use of a
Motor Vehicle in Boardman.

Dept, received a report o f a sto
len vehicle recovered by the
Hermiston Police Dept. A 16 year
old was arrested by the Hermiston
Police Dept, on charges o f Pos
session of M ethamphetamines
and lodged at the juveniles facili
ties with a hold placed for Mor
row County.

Dept, received a report from a
subject that her mother was as
saulted by her husband in Imgon.
MCSO received a report from
a woman in Imgon that her life
was threatened by a male subject.
MCSO deputy arrested Noe
Caraveo-Renova, 24, for Assault
IV/Domestic.
Heppner Fire Dept, received a
report o f a chip pile fire at the mill.
MCSO received a report o f
suspicious circumstances.
Heppner Police Dept, received
a report of a white vehicle miss
ing. The vehicle was located at
the fairgrounds in the Wilkinson
Building. No further action was
taken.
Boardm an Police Dept, re
ceived a report o f an intoxicated
female getting ready to drive. The
woman was contacted and said
she would not drive for a while.
MCSO, Oregon State Police
received a report of a possible
drunk driver driving erratically on
Highway 730 eastbound. An of
ficer was unable to locate anyone.
MCSO, Heppner Fire Dept.,
Heppner ambulance, Lexington
EMTs, MCDA received a report
o f a vehicle accident at Cutsforth
Comers. The vehicle had hit the
cement bank. The victim was un
conscious with a faint pulse at the
scene, but was pronounced dead
at Pioneer Memorial Hospital in
Heppner.
MCSO received a report of a
stolen ladder in Imgon. The lad
der was marked with the owner’s
name and social security number.
MCSO received a report from
a subject that her father-in-law
took her mother-in-law’s computer
and personal papers.
H erm iston Police Dept, ar
rested Harley William Messer-
smith, 18, on an Imgon Justice
Court warrant for Unauthorized
Entry of a Motor Vehicle and Theft
II. He was lodged at the Umatilla
County Jail with $ 12,000 bail.
Dec. 27: Irrigon ambulance
received a request for an ambu
lance for a 91 year old female with
chest pain and a history of heart
problems. The patient was trans
ported to Good Shepherd Commu
nity Hospital in Hermiston.
Oregon State Police received
a report of a motor vehicle acci
dent on Buttercreek Road. The
vehicle was in a ditch, but there
was no one in it.
The Port of Portland Police
Dept, arrested Martin Quezada,
20, on a Morrow County Circuit
Court warrant for Criminal Driv
ing. He was lodged at the
MCDCW with $20,000 bail with
a d d itio n a l w arrants out o f
Pendleton.
MCSO, Boardman Fire Dept,
received a report o f two fire
alarms at Sam Boardman Elemen
tary. It was a false alarm.
MCSO received a report o f a
loose horse on old Highway 730.
MCSO received a report from
a male subject that another male
had been making contact with a
female and he wasn’t supposed
to per the district attorney.
MCSO received a report o f log
trucks almost hitting the caller as
they were moving cattle on High
way 74.
Hermiston Police Dept, ad
vised they were sending an am
bulance and Oregon State Police
to a vehicle on its top at the
Buttercreek junction with possible
unknown injuries involved.
MCSO received a report from
an Imgon woman that a neigh
bor’s dog bit her child the day be
fore and is after other children
today.
Dec. 28: Oregon State Police
arrested Shawn Drake Chandler,
27, on an Irrigon Justice Court
warrant for Failure to Pay Fine/
Driving while License Suspended.
He was lodged at the U nion
County Jail with a $534 fine.
MCSO received a report of a
large fire behind Lamb Weston at
the Port o f Morrow. It was a con
trolled bum at Boardman Foods.
Boardm an Police Dept, re
ceived a report of clothes and drug
stuff left at the Dodge City Inn
and a TV was missing.
Boardman Police Dept, re
ceived a report from a man that
another man threatened to hurt
him and his kids and would beat
him up. The man was headed to
his house. Officers were unable
to locate the subject.
Irrigon ambulance received a
report that a nine year old male
fell off the top bunk o f a bed and
has head and back injuries and
labored breathing. The patient
was transported to Good Shepherd
Community Hospital in Hermiston.

Dept, received a report that the
man who threatened another man
in a previous report was at the
residence and banging on the win
dows.
M CSO, B oardm an P o lice
Dept, received a 911 call. During
a call-back, the dispatcher first
spoke to a child then a woman,
but it didn’t sound right so units
continued to the location. All was
okay.
Boardman Police Dept, re
ceived a report of loud thumping
bass coming from the Cottonwood
Loop/Kinkade area. An officer
was unable to locate anything.
Dec. 29: MCSO, Boardman
Police Dept, received a report o f
a vehicle driving into a yard and
hitting a tree.

Dept, received a report o f a man
and woman fighting in the park
ing lot at Columbia View Apts.
Luella Audrey Jones, 27, was cited
for Assault IV and released.
Boardman Police Dept, ar
rested Timothy Charles Hiatt, 34,
on three w arran ts out o f
LaGrande for Failure to Appear/
D U II, R eckless D riving and
Reckless Endangering Another;
Failure to Appear/Theft o f Ser
vices out of Umatilla County; and
Violation of Release Agreement/
Theft III out o f the Hermiston
P olice D ept. T otal bail w as
$27,000. He was transported to
the Umatilla County Jail.
MCSO, Oregon State Police
received a report o f a pickup on
its top on Highway 730. Officers
were unable to locate anyone in
jured.
MCSO received a report of a
suspicious maroon mini-van with
two males who were knocking on
a woman’s door and windows in
Boardman.

Dept., Boardman ambulance re
ceived a report o f a 62 year old
woman who was not breathing.
MCSO received a request for
an officer to sign a driving com
plaint against another person.
MCSO, Boardman Fire Dept,
received a request to page the fire
dept, to the Boardmah Laundro
mat for a fire on the roof.

Dept, received a report of a drive-
o ff w ithout paying at the
Boardman Chevron station. The
subjects were located and they
paid.
M CSO deputy cited B illy
Ayers, 68, for DUII and Open
Container. He blew a .04. Bail was
set at $6,177.
Oregon State Police received
a report of a pickup traveling east-
bound on 1-84 with no tail lights or
headlights on. No one was in po
sition to respond.

Dept, received a report of a pos
sible domestic dispute in progress.
Zachary J. Barresse, 20, was cited
for Assault IV Domestic Felony.
He was lodged at the Umatilla
County Jail with $7,500 bail.
Dec. 30: MCSO received a
report of a vehicle behind the old
mill offices. It left the area.
Oregon State Police, Board-
man Fire Dept., Boardman am
bulance received a report o f a
vehicle that slid down 1-84 on its
top and came to rest in the me
dian. There were no injuries in
volved and the vehicle wasn’t a
hazard.
MCSO received a report o f a
woman whose vehicle slid off
Bombing Range Road and blew a
tire. Her husband was en route to
assist her.
MCSO, Boardman Fire Dept.,
Boardman ambulance received a
report of a one-vehicle accident
on 1-84. It was a non-injury acci
dent.
Medic 2, while responding to
an accident, stopped to check on
another motor vehicle accident. It
was a non-injury accident and the
person was given a ride into
Boardman.
MCSO, Boardman Fire Dept.,
Boardman ambulance received a
report o f a Suburban rollover on
1-84. One patient was transported
to Good Shepherd Community
Hospital in Hermiston.
Medic 3 reported another ve
hicle off the road on 1-84 Patterson
Ferry E x it. The medic was wait
ing for help to arrive.
MCSO deputy advised that
vehicles were sliding off the road
on 1-84. Flares were set up to slow
down traffic.
Medic 3, Boardman ambulance
received a request for ambulance
for a 65 year old woman involved
in an accident on 1-84. The pa
tient was transported to Good
Shepherd Community Hospital in
Hermiston.
ODOT received a report of a
slick road at Cutsforth Comers.
There was almost another wreck.
MCSO received a report of a
down stop sign at Kunze/Paul
Smith Road.
Heppner Police Dept, received
a report o f a Rottweiler with a
choke chain on its neck running
loose. The caller was concerned
about the dog.
MCSO received a report from
a man that two male subjects un
known to him were running from
his pickup.
MCSO received another report
o f a down stop sign at Kunze
Road and a street sign down at
Parkside and Kunze.
Boardman Police Dept, re
ceived a report of a stolen ATV
recovered.
MCSO received a report of
several cats at the Boardman
eastbound rest area.
MCSO deputy cited a 16 year
old with MIP by Consumption.

MCSO received a request for
a deputy from an Irrigon woman
who said a neighbor supplied al
cohol to her 14 year old daughter.
Boardman ambulance received
a request for an ambulance for a
subject with a possible fracture
and swollen foot.
MCSO received a request for
a contact regarding horses in
Boardman.
Boardman Police Dept, re
ceived a report ofjuveniles caught
shoplifting at the Boardman Phar-
macy/Hardware.

Dept, received a report of a 17
year old who was intoxicated, yell
ing and throw ing things in
Boardman.
MCSO received a report of a
fire alarm at A.C. Houghton El
ementary in Irrigon. It was a false
alarm.
MCSO received a request for ,
an officer for a neighborhood dis
pute in Lexington.
MCSO received a report of
loud music and squealing tires at
a Lexington residence.
Heppner Police Dept, received
a rep o rt o f an assau lt at
Bucknum’s in Heppner.
Jan. 1: Oregon State Police,
Heppner Police Dept, received a
report from a woman that her sis
ter had been drinking and may try
to kill herself or force the police
to kill her. She was located and
was okay.
Heppner Police Dept, arrested
Travis Joe Rutz, 29, Heppner, for
DUII. He blew a .13.
MCSO received a report o f a
12 year old in Irrigon who was
drunk, yelling and hitting his
mother, knocking her tooth out. He
was cited for Assault IV/Domes
tic. Another person was cited on
the same charge.

game complaint.
MCSO deputy responded to a
dispute over a vehicle.
MCSO received a report of a
female subject threatened by a
Rottweiler No Heppner unit was
available to respond.

ceived a report o f a red pickup
missing in Boardman.
MCSO, Boardman Police and
Fire depts. received a report of a
bum barrel on fire, fully engulfed
and threatening the Trail Apts.
MCSO, Heppner Police Dept,
received a report from a male sub
ject who said he knows who made
the threats recorded on his an
swering machine. He requested
a deputy as he said the Heppner
Police Dept, weren’t doing any
thing.
Jan. 3: Irrigon ambulance re
ceived a report o f a 39 year old
male who fell out o f a moving
truck onto the roadway. He was
unconscious but breathing. The
subject refused transport.
MCSO received a report of an
audible alarm at Sam Boardman
Elementary. It was cancelled.
MCSO received a report ofju-
vemles continually in a pasture in
lone messing with the horses.
MCSO received a report from
a L exington subject that he
wanted to sign a complaint about
a situation at a Lexington resi
dence.
MCSO received a request for
a welfare check on a female sub
ject in Im gon. The house ap
peared to be vacant.
MCSO received a report of a
car run into while parked on New
Year’s Eve in Irrigon.

pected to arrive in Pendleton at 9
p.m. The subject was located at
1:04 a.m.

Parole Violation/Assault IV. He
was lodged at the Umatilla County
Jail with $5,000 bail. He was also

a man that he hadn’t seen another
man for days and he has dogs at
his residence. He was seen by
another person and the dogs were
okay.

stalking order.

the Army Depot of a minor GB
reading on the inside o f an igloo.
The igloo was secure and filtered.
MCSO received a report of a
one year old boy choking. While
the caller was on the phone a
piece of turkey was dislodged and
the boy was okay when the of
fice called back to check.
MCSO received a report of
someone breaking into a house in
Imgon and items taken.

report o f an 82 year old woman
having trouble breathing. The pa
tient was taken to Pioneer Me
morial Hospital in Heppner.
MCSO, Good Shepherd Com
munity Hospital in Hermiston re
ceived a report o f a 911 call with
the caller reporting his girlfriend
was having trouble breathing. The
caller decided to take her to the
hospital himself.
MCSO received a report of an
assault in Boardman. The parties
were separated and no charges
were pressed.
Heppner ambulance received
a request for an ambulance for a
65 year old man who was para
lyzed on one side and believed to
have had a stroke. The patient was
transported to Pioneer Memorial
Hospital, then Kadlec Hospital.
Boardman ambulance received
a request for an ambulance for a
45 year old woman with MS with
stomach pain and numbness on
one side. The patient was trans
ported to Good Shepherd Commu
nity Hospital in Hermiston.
MCSO received a report of a
possible drunk driver at the 1-84
Patterspn, Ferry exit. An officer
was unable to locate anyone.
