The "Gold Card" is coming to
Heppner soon. Heppner athletes
will be selling a credit card with
discounts
at
Heppner,
Lexington, Hermiston and
Pendleton businesses.
The athletes will canvas the
communities of Heppner and
Lexington to sell the cards.
"We want to make this a good
team-building experience for the
kids and put forth a good image
to the community," said Terri
Gentry Heppner High School
volleyball coach.
"This is the number-one selling
card of it's kind," said Greg
Grant Heppner High School
football coach. "I was skeptical
at first, but after talking to
several other communities that
have participated, I was satisfied
that this was a good deal for
everyone."
Hermiston and Pendleton are
participating in the same
program.
