The Budget Committee for the
City of Heppner has approved a
budget that contains a $4.00 per
month per R factor sewer usage
rate increase. The sewer rate in
crease is necessary to balance the
budget and provide for the con
tinued operation, maintenance and
repairs to the City sewer system.
Under the proposed rate increase
an average household sewer bill
would increase from $14 to $18.
A public hearing will be held at

Heppner City Hall to receive pub
lic testimony regarding the adop
tion of the budget and of the pro
