lone Booster
Club meets
The lone Booster Club met
Monday, December 7, at the
lone High School library.
Nineteen members were present.
Dean Robinson reported on
gym improvements. The Culver
sign has been taken down and
the Wasco sign moved. The
w ires from the old sound system
have been removed.
President Debbie Raidie
reported that a new flag for the
state championship track team
would cost $272 to make at Bob
and Jan's Signs. A new district
board would cost $280.
Members will research other
options, including making their
own board and hiring someone
to do the lettering. A new state
volleyball bracket sign will
probably also have to be made.
Harold Reitmann is making
new championship boards for
the signs at the edge of town.
John Ferguison and Brandi
Brantley, under the supervision
of Robinson, are making a new
sports' schedule poster. They
hope to make the project more
profitable. They will begin
selling ads and arranging the
poster. The club was supportive
of the project.
Raidie will have the volleyball
video completed by the end of
January.
The coaches are creating a tape
room next to the boys' locker
room. The janitor's room will be
used, with the janitors moving to
coach Dana Heideman's old
office. Coach Dennis Stefani
requested help tearing down the
old closet walls.
It was
suggested the athletes needing to
earn money for pay-to-play be
hired by the club to work on that
project.
The club heard reports from
committees and made final
arrangements for the upcoming
basketball tournament.
The next meeting of lone
Booster Club will be January 4
at 7 p.m. at the high school
library.
