Century Farm awards presented

their farms in their families for
100 years continuously . The two
awards, the 18th and 1 Oth farms

Rick Myron with 7x7 buck
A Tigard man bagged a 7x7
buck in the Arbuckle area on
Oct. 3, the opening evening of
deer season. According to Rick
Myron, who shot the "untypical"
buck, a taxidermist told him he
could get the buck into Boone &
Crockett, which documents
record game animals. The buck
was initially estimated to be an
8x9 by a game official who
counted the points.
"It’s a once in a lifetime
experience," said Myron, who
added that he has bagged a deer
in seven of the eight years he has
been hunting in the area.
