The Morrow County Sheriffs
Office (MCSO) reports handling
the following business during the
past weeks:
MCSO received a report of
two females at a residence where
no one was supposed to be in
Heppner.
MCSO dispatched to the lone
Fire Dept, a report of a flare-up
of a fire.
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Fire Dept, a report of
a tree/grass fire 1/2 mile west of
Boardman on the south side of I-
84.
MCSO received a report of a
motion alarm at the Irrigon Learn­
ing Center.
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of a teenager who had been in
trouble earlier who was threaten­
ing suicide. All was okay.
Aug. 12: MCSO dispatched to
the Oregon State Police a report
of a possible drunk driver leaving
Boardman.

MCSO received a report of
another sign put up at the far end
entrance of Willow Creek Park.
It was the third sign to be put up.
MCSO dispatched to the Or­
egon State Police a report of a
male subject run off the road by a
motor home in Imgon.
MCSO dispatched to the Or­
egon State Police a report of an
intoxicated man with a gun. The
man was arrested for Driving
while Under the Influence of In­
toxicants the day before.
MCSO deputy, Oregon State
Police and the Imgon ambulance
responded to a report of a hit-and-
run involving a bicyclist. The pa­
tient was taken to Good Shepherd
Community Hospital in Hermiston.
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of kidsjumping a fence where the
caller’s Rottweiler is and she was
afraid the kids would be hurt.
MCSO received a report of a
suspicious male standing along I-
84.
Aug. 13: MCSO deputy re­
ported seeing movement inside the
Irrigon Market and the back door
was open.
MCSO received a report of a
man believed to be dead at his
home in Fossil.
MCSO received a report of a
window broken at the Imgon City
Hall and a rock found on the side­
walk.
MCSO dispatched to the Or­
egon State Police a report of a
couple fighting at a residence in
Imgon. The man was reported to
have knives. No one was avail­
able to respond.
MCSO received a request for
an extra patrol at Imgon Marina
Park. “Gangbangers” started to
hang out there about 2 p.m., fight­
ing and running other people out.
MCSO received a report of a
power pole hit by a potato truck.
The power pole broke in half and
wires were down. No injuries oc­
curred.
MCSO dispatched to the Or­
egon State Police a report of a
possible drunk driver leaving
Boardman on 1-84 westbound.
MCSO received a report of a
vehicle in the ditch on Rippee
Road in Boardman.
Oregon State Police, Arlington
Fire Dept, and Arlington ambu­
lance responded to a report of a
man threatening to commit suicide
with explosives on his boat in the
Columbia River near the Hepp­
ner Junction exit. No one was on
the boat which floated to the Ar­
lington Marina. The man was in
custody and transported to Mid-
Columbia Medical Center at The
Dalles.
MCSO received a report of a
stereo stolen out of an Isuzu at
Sentry Market in Imgon.
MCSO received a report of
someone leaving their purse in the
parking lot at the Sentry Market
in Imgon.
MCSO received a report of
two men going door-to-door sell­
ing boxes of steaks and smelling
of alcohol.
MCSO received a report of a
man in Irrigon who had just left a
residence threatening to kill a
woman and her kids.
MCSO received a report of a
line down partially on the Paul
Smith Road. It turned out not to
be an electric cable, it was possi­
bly a tv cable.
MCSO received a report of a
19 year old hanging around prop­
erty. He had been told to leave
but kept returning. He was be­
lieved to be homeless.
MCSO received a report of
two windows broken at Imgon
City Hall, one on the front door
and one on the window to the
counsel chambers.
MCSO received a report from
a woman that her husband is
drunk and driving in Lexington.
MCSO deputy and Boardman
Police Dept, responded to a re­
port of a male subject passing
through a yard that was posted “no
trespassing.” The subject apolo­
gized and no charges were filed
MCSO received a report of
speeders on newly paved Second
Street in Boardman.
MCSO dispatched to the Or­
egon State Police and Gilliam
County Sheriffs Office a report
of a woman picked up by a male
subject in Utah. The woman was
dumped off in Arlington while they
were swimming. He took off w ith
her money and belongings.
MCSO received a report of a
possible drunk driver leaving
Boardman Sentry Market. An of­
ficer was unable to locate the
driver.
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman EMTs a report of a
man with stomach pains having
trouble breathing. The man re­
fused transport.
MCSO received a report of a
male subject with a bicycle on the
side of the road west of Stokes
Landing. The man was very in­
toxicated.
Aug. 15: MCSO received a
report of an 18 year old girl in
Imgon wanting to kill herself be­
cause she miscarried.
MCSO received a report of a
male subject walking on Highway
207. He was given a nde to Hepp­
ner.
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Fire Dept, a report o f a
dumpster on fire on Highway 74.
MCSO received a report of a
man threatening to beat another
man up in Imgon.
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Fire Dept, a report of
a grass fire on 1-84 westbound.
MCSO, Boardman Police
Dept, received a report of a pos­
sible dom estic dispute in
Boardman. It turned out to be ju­
veniles playing
Aug. 16: MCSO dispatched to
the Heppner Police Dept, a re­
port of a comforter taken from a
dryer at Mt. Glen Apts, in Hepp­
ner.
MCSO received a report of an
audible alarm at a residence in
Boardman.
MCSO received a report from
a man who said his sister’s hus­
band tried to choke her in
Boardman.
MCSO received a report of a
possible rape involving a 15 year
old girl and a 19 year old boy.
MCSO received a report of a
vandalism and burglary at a resi­
dence in Imgon.
MCSO received a report of a
dying dog that showed up at a
Heppner residence.
MCSO received a report of an
alarm at Potlatch in Boardman.
MCSO received a report that
someone had threatened to beat
up a man in lone.
MCSO received a request for
an officer concerning someone
speeding on a dirt bike in Hepp­
ner.
MCSO deputy and Boardman
Police Dept, responded to a re­
port of a Chevy Cavalier swerv­
ing all over the road on 1-84, mile­
post 176. Apparently the passen­
ger was preoccupying the driver.
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, a report of a per­
son attempting suicide with anti­
depressants and a case of beer.
The subject was transported by
ambulance to Good Shepherd
Community Hospital in Hermiston.
MCSO received a report of a
wallet stolen at the lone swimming
pool.
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, a report of neigh­
bors harassing kids in Heppner.
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, a request for
someone to remove a dog at a
residence.
Aug 17: MCSO dispatched to
the Heppner Police Dept, a re­
port of a pack of dogs in the back
yard of a Heppner residence.
MCSO received two reports of
a fire alarm at Heppner High
School. Both were false alarms
and were cancelled.
MCSO received a report of a
worker who had his hand crushed
between two containers at Tide­
water at the Port of Morrow.
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of a large loose Rottweiler that
had tom into a small dog which
was badly injured.
MCSO received a report of a
female acting strangely who was
walking on 1-84 westbound one
mile east of Boardman.
MCSO received a report of a
person with heart problems at
Penland Lake The person was
transported via private vehicle
MCSO received a report of a
bull getting in a neighbor’s yard in
Lexington.
MCSO received a request for
extra patrol because of cars trav­
eling at high speeds on East Wil­
son Road.
MCSO deputy, Heppner Police
Dept, responded to a report of
four juveniles drinking along the
creek in Heppner.
Heppner Police Dept, cited
Robert Craig Maker, 21, for Fur­
nishing Alcohol to a Minor;
Michael D. Scott, 19. was cited
for Minor in Possession-Aicohol;
and two juveniles (16 and 17) for
Minor in Possession-Alcohol.
MCSO received a report of a
window broken out of a truck at
Boardman.
MCSO received notice that a
person w:ith a license to haze deer
will be doing so between melon
patch and river in Irrigon.
MCSO dispatched *o the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, notice that three
people will be charged with tres­
passing if they go o rto the
fairgounds.
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept a report of three
people walking down the center
line of Highway 207 and walking
in front of cars. MCSO advised
that the three will spend the night
in jail if they have another com­
plaint against them.
MCSO received a report of an
abandoned vehicle blocking traf­
fic at Juniper Canyon and Baseline
Road. The owner advised that the
vehicle had been parked in a field
during harvest and must have been
stolen.
MCSO deputy and Boardman
Police Dept, responded to a re­
port of a domestic dispute in
progress at Wilson Road Trailer
Court. A man w as observed beat­
ing on his wife when she ran from
the trailer and dragged her back
into the residence.
MCSO received a report of a
station wagon racing through
Country Garden Estates, squeal­
ing tires and driving erratically.
Aug. 18: MCSO deputy and
Boardman Police Dept, received
a report of an open door at the
Riverside High School.
MCSO disoatched to the Ore­
gon State Police a report of a red
Chevy pickup driving 100-plus
mph on 1-84 westbound.
MCSO received a report of a
non-injury motor vehicle accident
blocking the road off Patterson
Ferry Road.
MCSO dispatched to the Asher
Clinic a report of an 11 year old
girl stung by a scorpion in Spray.
A physician's assistant advised
that there are no known poison­
ous scorpions in the area and also
advised to pack the stung area in
ice and give Benadryl orally.
MCSO deputy and Children
and Family Services responded to
a report of an adult allegedly sexu­
ally abusing a 16 year old in
Boardman.
MCSO received a report of a
61 year old female in a diabetic
coma The patient was trans­
ported to Good Shepherd Commu­
nity Hospital in Hermiston.
MCSO dispatched to the Ore­
gon State Police a report of a large
piece of tire in the road on 1-84.
Heppner Police Dept, arrested
Michael D. Scott for Harassment.
Scott was transported to the
Umatilla County Sheriffs Office
jail.
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman ambulance a request
for an ambulance for an 80 year
old lying on the ground shaking
uncontrollably, but conscious and
alert at the pump station near the
gravel pit in Boardman. The pa­
tient was transported to Good
Shepherd Community Hospital in
Hermiston.
MCSO dispatched to the Or­
egon State Police a report of a
male subject who drove over a
sidewalk and was slumped over
the wheel. It was unknown if the
problem was medical or intoxica­

erratically from Hardman Grade
toward Ruggs. An officer was
unable to locate anyone.
MCSO received a report of a
theft of services in the Boardman
area.
MCSO received a 911 call with
a lot of screaming The call was
traced back to an Irrigon resi­
dence. An officer was unable lo
locate anyone.
MCSO received a report of a
one vehicle accident on Butter
Creek. There was no further re­
port of the accident in the area.
MCSO received a report of
noise at a Heppner residence.
BENT reported serving a
search warrant at a residence on
Willow Fork Drive in Boardman.
MCSO received a report of a
male and female yelling and
screaming and possibly a bottle
breaking at the lone Park.
Heppner Police Dept, issued a
citation to ajuvenile for Minor in
Possession-Tobacco.
BENT arrested W ilfrido
Arellano, 30, for Possession of a
Controlled Substance-Metham-
phetamine, Possession of a Con­
trolled Substance-Cocaine, three
counts of Endangering the Wel­
fare of a Minor, Maintaining a
Place where Narcotics are Kept,
and on a Hermiston Police Dept,
warrant for Failure to Appear-
DUII. Arellano was transported
to the Umatilla County Sheriff s
Officejail.
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, and Heppner El­
ementary School a report of what
looks like strobe lights going from
the school’s multi-purpose room
down to the new add-on It turned
out to be a new fire system which
was in the process of being in­
stalled.
MCSO received a report of
shots fired.
MCSO deputy and Heppner
Police Dept, responded to a re­
quest for assistance at a Heppne.
residence. All was okay.
MCSO received a report of a
domestic dispute on a overpass in
Boardman. All was okay.

for an ambulance for a 61 year
old woman ir. a diabetic coma
There was no transport.
MCSO deputy and the Oregon
State Police responded to a report
of a possible burglary in progress
on Anderson Road.
MCSO received a report of
two trucks driving erratically in
Imgon.
MCSO received a report of an
ongoing problem of a neighbor's
dog getting into a bird pen in
Boardman.
MCSO received a report of a
person with a Driving while Li­
cense Suspended felony and w ho
had bounced checks in Irrigon re­
ported to be at the Morrow
County Fairgrounds.
MCSO received a report of a
man throwing an ash tray at a
woman for no apparent reason in
Boardman. The woman didn’t
want to press charges.
MCSO received a report of a
restraining order violation at
Boardman. The man’s ex-wife
reportedly stopped at his residence
while he was at work.
MCSO received a report of
speeding vehicles driving past the
fair booth at the Morrow County
Fair. The people were located and
warned about their driving habits.
MCSO dispatched to the Or­
egon State Police a report o f a
female requesting assistance on
1-84 westbound.
MCSO received a report of
suspicious circumstances at the
Country Garden Estates. A per­
son with a flashlight was report­
edly in a residence.
MCSO received a report of a
male harassing a female and call­
ing her names at the Outback
Apts.
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, a report of a fight
in progress at NW Motel in Hepp­
ner. Two juveniles were cited for
disorderly conduct.
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, two reports of
kids hanging out around the back
of St. Patrick’s Senior Center,
Yaw’s and Kate’s, which was
upsetting people at St. Pat’s.
Aug. 20: MCSO received a
report of a vehicle spinning cook­
ies at the parking lot of the old
grange hall in Boardman.
MCSO received a report of
two males drinking, being loud and
refusing to leave at the Outback
Apts.
MCSO deputy cited ajuvenile
for Minor in Possession by Con­
sumption and Driving while Li­
cense Suspended infraction.
MCSO received a report of
two dogs killing a cat in Imgon.
MCSO dispatched to the Mor­
row County Road Dept, a report
of a dead dog in a cardboard box
dumped along the side of the road
in Boardman.
MCSO received a report of a
possible arson suspect. A male
bought 12 boxes of road flares at
Arrowhead Truck Stop and then
headed off in an unknown direc­
tion.
MCSO received a report of a
possible party with drugs and li­
quor this weekend on Graffiti
Lane on the old highway from
Willow Creek Reservoir.
MCSO received a report of
two horses neglected in
Boardman.
MCSO received a report of an
attempted burglary. Javier Simon
Iniesta was cited for Criminal
Trespass 1 and Possession of a
Forged Document.
MCSO deputy and the Oregon
State Police responded to a report
of speeding vehicles on 1-84 west­
bound.
MCSO received a report of a
person trying to tie a dog to a tree
because it chased her livestock.
MCSO received a report of a
pet ferret at a residence. The
owner was contacted.
MCSO received a report of a
car hitting the door of another ve­
hicle in Lexington.
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of a woman who said she had
killed someone and that’s how she
got her money. All was okay and
the subject was back on the road.
MCSO received a report of 4-
wheelers trespassing on property
in Boardman. The kids were
given trespassing warnings.
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, and Hop.mer
ambulance a report of ¡in id woman
in Heppner. The patient v/as
transported to Pioneer Menic.ial
Hospital in Heppner.
MCSO received a leper of
two lost chocolate labs in Irricon.
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, a report o f i
motorcycle driving fast and the
driver had no helmet or lights.
Officers spoke with the driver.
MCSO received a report of a
fire on the Bombing Range Road
between the coal fire plant and
Rivercrest Farms in Boardman.
The Boardman Fire Dept, tried to
contact the Navy but received no
answer.
Heppner Police Dept, arrested
Matthew D. Bunn, 24, for Driv­
ing while Under the Influence of
Intoxicants.
MCSO deputy arrested Oscar
Amador Navarro-Brito, 29, for
Possession of a Controlled Sub­
stance and three counts of Endan­
gering. Navarro-Brito was lodged
at the Umatilla County Sheriff s
Officejail.
Aug. 21: MCSO received a
report of two subjects walking to­
ward Boardman on Highway 730
attempting to flag people down.
MCSO received a report of
suspicious circumstances. A fe­
male was crying and upset after
a fight with her boyfriend, but had
not been physically assaulted
MCSO received a report of a
residence with four tractors and
six trailers in a yard. The caller
was advised it was a code en­
forcement matter.
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Fire Dept, a report of
a fire between Boardman Chip
and Tidewater. They were unable
to locate the fire.
MCSO received a report of tire
tracks at a farm.
MCSO received a report of a
burglar alarm at Sam Boardman
Elementary. A teacher had set it
off.
MCSO dispatched to the Fos­
sil Fire Dept., Fossil ambulance
and Wheeler County Sheriff s
Office a report of a single vehicle
accident at Fossil and Antelope.
One female with head injuries was
in and out of consciousness and
breathing. One 16 year old patient
was airlifted to the Bend Hospi­
tal.
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept a report of sev­
eral vehicles blocking a roadway
in Heppner.
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman EMTs a report of a
nine year old boy who cut the tip (
of his finger off.
MCSO received a report of a
restraining order violation at
Boardman.
MCSO received a report that
a man had hit a woman three times
in the’neck.
MCSO deputy and the Oregon
Stale Police responded to a report
of a wrong-way driver on 1-84
James White, 38. was charged
with Driving while Under the In­
fluence of Intoxicants, Open Con­
tainer. No Operator’s License and
Careless Driving.
MCSO received a report of
several vehicles near the dam.
MCSO, Boardman Police
Dept, and Boardman EMTs re­
ceived a report o f a fight in
progress at Boardman at the No­
mad. One man was stabbed. He
was transported to Good Shepherd
Community Hospital in Hermiston.
Alfred W. Tison, 47, was arrested
for Attempted Murder. Tison was
lodged at the Umatilla County
Sheri IT s Officejail.
Aug. 22: MCSO dispatched to
the Boardman EMTs a report of
a woman with chest pains and
shortness of breath. The patient
was transported to Good Shepherd
Community Hospital.
MCSO deputy arrested Kevin
Scherrer, 40, for Custodial Inter­
ference and a Restraining Order
Violation. Scherrer was lodged at
the Umatilla County Sheriff sOf-
fice jail.
Heppner Police Dept, arrested
Jory Crowell for Minor in Posses­
sion.
MCSO received a report of a
noise like stock numbers coming
from the rodeo grounds.
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, a report of three
subjects walking from the golf
course.
MCSO received a report from
a woman who said her husband
wouldn’t let her see her kids on
her day to see them.
MCSO received two 911 call
hang-ups from what sounded like
a little girl. The call was traced to
the Willow Creek Park. An officer
was unable to locate anyone.
MCSO received a report of a
person drunk and threatening to
throw her husband’s things out in
Lexington.
MCSO received a report of in­
formation on vandalism/theft.
MCSO received a report of a
stolen bike in Irrigon.
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman EMTs a report of a bi­
cycle hit by a car at Sentry Mar­
ket. It turned out to be a bike-bike
accident. The subject was trans­
ported by private vehicle.
MCSO received a report of a
vehicle over the embankment on
Highway 74. No injuries occurred.
MCSO received a report of a
car stolen from Irrigon. MCSO
deputy arrested Scott Cason, 22.
for Driving while Under the In­
fluence of Intoxicants, Menacing,
Unauthorized Use of a Motor
Vehicle and Failure to Perform
Duties of a Driver in a Motor Ve­
hicle Accident. Cason was lodged
at the Umatilla County Sheriff s
Officejail.
MCSO received a report of a
possible DUII headed from Hepp­
ner to Lexington. An officer was
unable to locate anyone.
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, a report of sev­
eral suspicious vehicles with head­
lights off in a parking lot in Hepp­
ner.
MCSO dispatched to the Or­
egon State Police, Umatilla Police
Dept, and Imgon ambulance a
report of a motor vehicle accident
with injuries on Highway 730.
Aug. 23: MCSO dispatched to
the Heppner Police Dept, a re­
port of a car alarm which had gone
off at a residence in Heppner.
MCSO received a report of a
possible prowler in Im gon. It
turned out to be dogs in the yard.
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of a window broken out in the Post
Office in Boardman. Terry L.
Jones was arrested for Burglary
II and Theft III. Jones was trans­
ported to the Umatilla County
Sheri fiTs Officejail.
