Chamber Chatter
By Claudia Hughes, Chamber Manager
"One county, all communities
working hand in hand." What a
great theme and one to
concentrate on for our Morrow
County future. Aren't the flags
great lining Main Street? Not
too many people knew of their
existence until the Fair Board
started looking for help hanging
them last Tuesday. With the
Chamber meeting cancelled it
was tough to get the word out,
but we're learned that Les
Schwab and the city of Heppner
came to the rescue. There's that
hand in hand theme again. The
Fair and Rodeo Committee are
to be commended for bringing
the flags to Main Street.
The Chamber is taking a
couple of weekly luncheons off
during the month of August, but
members are encouraged to
come to lunch at the fairgrounds
on Thursday noon to enjoy the
~ ‘ /¿wide
fair
at
reside
ith
Kate'l^yilf
the reguîar first of the month
business for all members.
Is your parade entry ready?
Our co-chairs Bob Kahl and
Cara Osmin encourage one and
all to enter. Many entries are
arriving daily, including the
Mounted Band of Pendleton
Round-Up fame. Candy may be
given out on foot but the
committee would appreciate it if
none is thrown from moving
vehicles. Safety fifst.
Have a great Morrow County
Fair and Rodeo weekend.
