Child abuse topic of Commission
According to Dar Merrill,
MCCCF director, recent statistics
have shown that Morrow County
has
the
highest
child
abuse/neglect rate in Oregon.
Any person or agency who
would like to propose a program
or project to help prevent child
abuse and neglect in Morrow
County may apply for the funds
by contacting the MCCCF at
676-9675.
Child abuse was discussed as a
priority target for future planning
and spending during the June
meeting o f the Morrow County
Commission on Children and
Families
(MCCCF).
The
commission
has designated
approximately
$7,000
for
projects that will specifically
address the root causes o f child
abuse and neglect.
