PUBLIC NOTICE
Morrow County, Oregon re­
quests Proposals from experi­
enced Construction Managers/
General Contractors (CM/GC) to
construct a Phase II addition to
Morrow County’s Emergency
Operations Center in Heppner,
Oregon. The addition consists of
a 2,200 s.f. masonry and wood
addition to the 4.500 s.f. existing
structure. The existing structure
will undergo some modifications
to accept the addition. The pre­
liminary estimate of construction
costs is approximately $250,000.
It is the intent of die Morrow
County Court to enter into a con­
tract with the selected CM/GC
which will include a Fixed Fee for
servicis and a Guaranteed Mini­
mum Price for the entire scope of
the work. CM/CGs responding to
this request will be evaluated
based on their qualifications, prior
experience, staffing, proposed
work plan and schedule for com­
pleting the work, associated fees
and other relevant factors.

submit a proposal must be repre­

gency Management Office by
10:00 AM, Fnday, August 5th,
1998.
All proposers must be regis­
tered General Contractors with
the Oregon Construction Contrac­
tors Board prior to submitting
proposals. Provisions of ORS
279.354, relative to prevailing
wage rates, shall be complied
with by the contractor and all sub­
contractors. A 100% Performance
and Payment Bond will be re­
quired from the successful CM/
GC.
Morrow County does not dis­

M orrow Annex B uilding in
Imgon, Oregon:
Third and final hearing to
amend Zoning Text of the Sub­
urban R esidential Section
3.050(3), Rural Residential Sec­
tion 3.040(3) and Farm Residen­
tial Section 3.041(3) Zones of the
Morrow County Zoning O rdi­
nance to change the animal den­
sity in these zones. Criteria for
approval includes ARTICLE 8 of
the Morrow County Zoning Or­
dinance.
Third and final hearing to
amend the Zoning Ordinance to
add a Park Overlay Zone and to
amend the Comprehensive Plan
to include changes recommended
in the Master Park Plan. Criteria
for approval includes ARTICLE

Heppner Parks between the hours
of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., mak­
ing after hours use of the Parks a
Class C Infraction and declaring
an emergency. Copies of the or­

Arlington Saddle
club to host
playday
The Arlington Saddle Club will
host a playday on Saturday, July 4
at the Arlington Arena. There will
be non-horse and horse events.
Awards and ribbons will be
given away for individual partici­
pation and a $100 award will be
given to the team with the overall
high points.
A barbecue will be provided
after the day’s events. Registra­
tion is at 9 a.m. and games begin
at 10 a.m.

St. Patrick's Senior Center
Bulletin Board
On June 24 98 people attended the senior dinner and 14 meals
were home delivered. Members of the Catholic Church served.
Mary Bloom brought cupcakes to share in honor of her birthday.
Several members of her family attended with her. The McDonalds
were over from Pendleton. The seniors always enjoy visiting with
them. Blood pressures were taken before the meal.
The menu for July 8 will be wieners and sauerkraut, oven potatoes,
asparagus, fruit, rolls and cherry turnovers. Members of the
Christian Life Center will serve. The Senior Center Board will meet
following the meal. Bingo will be played at 1 p.m. Blood pressures
will be taken before the meal.
Tonia Adams drove the senior bus with 12 passengers to Spray
Nutrition Site, where they enjoyed a delicious meal on Thursday,
June 25.
The Red Cross Blood Drawing was held at the Senior Center
Thursday afternoon with a good turnout of donors.
Thirty-two seniors ate breakfast at the center Fnday. There will be
no breakfast Fnday, July 3. The menu for breakfast July 10 will be
potato egg casserole, muffins, hot or cold cereal, fruit, milk, orange
juice and coffee.
Two tables of pinochle were in play both Tuesday and Fnday.
Emie and Mary Jean have decorated the dining room for the
Independence Day celebration. Velma Wight decorated the rest of
the Senior Center area.
The bus will leave for the Monument Senior Nutntion Site at 10
a.m. Tuesday, July 7. There are still a few seats available. Stop by
the Senior Center office to sign up or call 676-5405.
