The complaint seeks judgment
against defendant for defendant’s

$60,000, plus interest at the rate
of 9% from January 18, 1996 un
til maturity, which occurred on
May 19,1996, and thereafter 10%
per annum from May 19,
1996 until paid, plus plaintiffs
attorney fees and costs. The com
plaint further seeks to have the
Deed o f Trust Note declared a
trust deed and to foreclose that
certain instrument against certain
real property and a mobile home
situated thereon and located at
74571 Cain Lane, Irrigon, Or
egon, by reason of defendant's
default on the Note and Security
Agreement.

Oregon
(CAPECO) is preparing a draft
plan for the 1998 Summer Youth
Program. In 1997, CAPECO's
expenditures were $213,986 and
176 youth were served. As of this
notice, funding for the 1998
program is estimated to be
$421,000. Services are provided
by CAPECO in collaboration
with local schools, government,
community-based organizations

Little League signups set
Sign-ups for the 1998 season
of Heppner Little League will be
held March 3-4 at the Heppner
Neighborhood Center from 5-7
p.m.
Children who will be playing
whiffle ball (4-5 years old), T-
ball (6-9 years old), minor league
baseball and softball (8-12 years
old), major baseball and softball
(9-12 years old), and senior
softball (13-15 years old) will
need to bring a copy of their birth
certificate. Little League age is
the age a player is by August 1.
The charge this year is $25 per
child with a maximum of $50 per
family. Payment is required at
the time of sign-ups with no
exceptions, say Little League
representatives. Those who
cannot afford to pay the fee, may
fill out an income waiver at the
time of sign-ups.

Shrove Tuesday pancake supper set
The All Saints Episcopal
Church's annual Shrove Tuesday
pancake supper will be held
Tuesday, February 24, fro 5-7
p.m. in the parish hall.
Cost for the supper, which
includes pancakes, ham, fruit and
a drink, is $4 for adults, $2 for
students and $12 for a family.
Proceeds go toward the
church's mission and outreach
program.
St. Patrick's Senior Center

Sixty-four people over 60 years old were present for the senior
meal on Wednesday, Feb. 4, and 10 under 60. Sixteen meals were
home-delivered. Members of the First Christian Church served. The
Nutrition Site Committee met following the meal. Bingo was played
at 1 p.m. Hearing aid assistance was given and blood pressures taken
before the meal.
The menu for Wednesday, Feb. 18 is baked ham, baked potatoes
with topping, squash, lime fhnty jello salad, rolls and cookies. Mem
bers of the Nazarene and Seventh Day Adventist churches will serve.
Mary Jean and Ernie McCabe came in Tuesday to decorate the
dining room. Valentine decorations were made by Jannie Allen’s fifth
and sixth grade classes.
There were 25 people over 60 years old, four under 60 and two
meals home-delivered for the Friday breakfast on Feb. 6.
The menu for breakfast on Friday, Feb. 13 is breakfast casserole,
fruity, hot and cold cereal, orange juice, milk and coffee.
One table of pinochle was played Friday afternoon.
Jane Rawlins is back in the office after a month-long vacation at
New Zealand.
The seniors extend their deepest sympathy to the family of Leila
Palmer. Leila was a beloved member of the Senior Center office staff
until she became too ill to continue. She is greatly missed.
Daisy Collins sold quilt raffle tickets at the Morrow County Grain
Growers breakfast at Lexington on Saturday. Other volunteers will
sell tickets at the Heppner Post Office on Tuesday, Feb. 17.
