Oct. 25- MCSO dispatched to
the Condon Fire Dept, and
ambulance and LifeFhght a
report of an injury accident on
Old Cottonwood Road towards
Smith Ranch. Three patients
were transported to Gilliam
County Medical Center. Two
patients with back injuries were
airlifted.
MCSO received a report of an
audible burglar alarm at MCGG,
Patterson Ferry Road. It was a
false alarm.
MCSO received a report of a
stray dog in a yard in Heppner.
The owner had two deer hanging
in the yard and didn't want the
dog around.
MCSO received a report of a
threatened suicide. The woman's
ex-husband, who lives in
Morrow County, was concerned.
The ex-wife and child were okay.
The ex-wife had called with the
threat to harass her ex-husband.
MCSO received information
concerning a theft of television
equipment from a home outside
of Boardman.
MCSO received a report of a
woman calling and harassing
another woman and accusing her
of stealing her VCR.
MCSO received a report from
a woman who said another
woman stole her VCR.
MCSO dispatched to the
Morrow County Road Crew a
report of ice and slick highway
on Coalmine Hill.
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of an unwanted subject at the
Outback Apts.
MCSO received a report of a
window' broken out in the back
bedroom of a residence in
Boardman.
The Morrow County Sheriff’s
office reports handling or
dispatching
the

business during the past several
weeks:
MCSO received a report of a
deer hit on Highway 74 between
Heppner and Lexington.
Oct. 24- MCSO received a
report of a pressure test to be
held at A. C. Houghton
Elementary School in Imgon
with smoke and fire systems off
line, for a test.
MCSO received a report of a
woman
threatening
her
roommate.
The roommate
locked herself and five children

Boardman Fire Department and
the Arlington Fire Department
received a report of fires at mile
post 172, 176 and 136 on 1-84.
The fires were reported all over
the railroad tracks and involved
grass fires.
MCSO relayed information that
if any more calls are received
about cattle out at Miller and
Kunze roads, the owner will be
cited.
MCSO received a report of a
woman attacked by a dog.
MCSO received a report of a
bike stolen at Fourth in Irrigon.
MCSO received a report of a
store broken into and money and
guns taken at Vickie's Videos in
irrigon.

erratic driver passing on the

Eleven schools in Morrow and
Umatilla counties are being
equi p p e d
with
"Overpressurizatior Systems" to
provide a "safe area" in the
unlikely event of a chemical
agent accident at the Umatilla
Chemical Depot.
Overpressurization means the
air pressure inside the building
will be higher than the air
pressure outside. This prevents
toxic chemicals from seeping in
through cracks in the building,
windows and doors. Outside air
will pass through special carbon

herd Community Hospital in Her­
miston. The baby weighed 7 lbs.

Installation
of
the
overpressurization systems are
being completed in two phases.
Phase 1 schools include A.C.
Houghton
Elementary
and
Columbia Middle School, both
in Imgon, Umatilla High School
and McNary Heights in Umatilla,
and
West Park Elementary
School and Hermiston High
School in Hermiston. Phase II
schools include Rocky Heights
Elementary School, Armand
Larive Middle School, Sunset
Elementary School. Sandstone
Middle School and Highland
Hills Elementary School, all in
Hermiston.
McNary Heights, West Park
Elementary School, Hermiston
High School, A. C. Houghton,
and Columbia Middle School
have the systems in place and are
in various stages of testing.
Umatilla High School is 95
percent complete and is awaiting
the
installation
of
the
"annunciation system" before
testing can be started.
The
annunciation system is a mam
panel that allows the operator to
visually monitor all dampers and
doors in the system.
Phase II schools, Rocky
Heights Elementaty School,
Armand Larive Middle School,
Sunset Elementary
School,
Sandstone Middle School and
Highland Hills Elementary
School have complete systems
except for the annunciation
portion.
The projects are being paid for
by the Chemical Stockpile
Emergency
Preparedness
Program. Estimated completion
dates for overpressurization
system installation and testing
for all schools is mid-December
to mid-January.

leave; the woman was later
reported to have been beaten by
one of the subjects.
MCSO received a report of a
motion entry alarm set off at
Columbia Middle School.
MCSO received a request for
a welfare check for a woman
who got into a car with a man.
The caller believed the woman
would be harmed by the man.
Oct. 27- Heppner Police
Department received a report of
suspicious activity at a residence
in Heppner.
Boardman Police Department
received a report on the location
of a man wanted in connection
with a domestic dispute.
Heppner Ambulance received a
report of a man needing an
ambulance at the Heppner Senior
Center.
The man was
transported.
Boardman Police Department,
and the Morrow County Sheriffs
Office arrested David Ponce, 35,
for Assault IV domestic.
MCSO and the Oregon State
Police received a report of a
speeder at Lexington Cenex
Station reportedly going 80-85
miles per hour headed north
bound on Highway 207.

truck driver between Irrigon and

brother when he got into an

arrested for Assault II and lodged
at Umatilla County Jail.

erratically in Heppner.

unable to locate anything.

report of an elderly man lying in
the ditch on the south side of
Highway 730.

gas credit card stolen out of an
onion truck on Bombing Range
Road.
