Sheriff's Report
The Morrow County Sheriffs
office reports handling or
dispatching
the
following
business during the past several
weeks:
Oct. 20- MCSO received a
report of a juvenile out of control
at Imgon Justice Court.
MCSO received a report of
marijuana and a marijuana pipe
confiscated from a juvenile at
Columbia Middle School.
MCSO received a report of two
people yelling at Second and
Oregon streets in Imgon.
MCSO received a report of
dogs barking and keeping a
neighbor up at Boardman.
MCSO received a report of an
alarm accidentally set off in
Boardman.
MCSO received a report that a
man with a warrant out on him
was in the Imgon area, from the
man's sister.
MCSO received a report of a
-Carl Scott Gittings, 32, was
arrested on charges of two
counts of Assault IV, Burglary
1,
Disorderly
Conduct,
Menacing,
Violation
of
Restraining Order and, upon
fleeing the premises in the
victim's car. Driving While
Suspended felony.
He was
transported to Umatilla County
Jail.
- MCSO received a report of a
dog trying to bite a woman on a
bike in Imgon. The woman
lifted her leg when the dog
attacked and the dog bit her bike
instead.
-MCSO received a report of an
abandoned vehicle.
-MCSO received a report of a
car speeding on third street in
lone.
-MCSO received a report of a
black bull in the road on
Highway 207 milepost 6.
-Oregon State Police and
MCSO responded to a report of
six juveniles coming out of the
windows of a house. However,
no juveniles were believed to be
living at the house. It turned out
that the juvenile was getting
ready for a slumber party.
-Morrow County Behavioral
Health received a report of a
woman who was off her
medication and was suicidal.
-MCSO received a report of a
woman and her three children in
a disabled pick-up south o f 1-84
junction.
-MCSO received a report of
three intoxicated juveniles who
came into Imgon BP.
Oct. 17: MCSO received a
report of harassing phone calls.
- MCSO received a report of a
woman allegedly assaulted and
raped. Another man reported
that the call was bogus.
-MCSO received a report of a
motor vehicle accident at
Highway 730 milepost 170.
-MCSO received a report of a
driving complaint at the Country
Garden Estates.
-MCSO received a report of a
man allegedly taking a S50
money order out of a woman's
purse. Also the woman reported
that her car had been moved to
the man's mother's house and that
her house key and car key were
also missing.
-MCSO received a report of
two males shooting shotguns
from the road. The men left
when confronted, going toward
Franklin Grade on Heppner-Pilot
Rock Highway.
-MCSO and the Boardman
Police Department received two
reports of a car that almost
broad-sided a pick-up and a
pedestrian. People in the car
were reported to have used foul
language.
-Heppner Police Department
received a request for a welfare
check for children in Heppner. A
woman trying to telephone her
children in Heppner was cut off.
The children were all okay.
•Boardman Police Department
received a report of three or four
teens hanging around the east
end
of
Columbia
View
Apartments, possibly smoking or
vandalizing.
-Heppner Ambulance received
a request for an ambulance for an
injured lone athlete with a
fractured femur.
-MCSO received a request for
an emergency message to be
delivered to a woman in Imgon.
The woman's mother was in the
hospital and was not expected to
survive. Officers were unable to
locate the woman.
-MCSO received a report of
telephone harassment in Imgon.
The woman was reported to have
called a man 23 times and also
came to his residence. MCSO
received a report of a possible
custodial interference.
The
woman's boyfriend's mother was
believed to be coming over to
take a child away from the
woman (child's mother).
Oct. 18: Boardman Ambulance
received a report of a woman
with
stomach
pains and
numbness in her fingers. The
woman was transported to Good
Shepherd Hospital in Hermiston.
-Oregon State Police received a
report of a motor vehicle
accident involving a pick-up and
trailer with no injuries. The
accident had moved a concrete
wall into the west bound lanes
approximately two feet.
-MCSO received a report of a
man ramming another vehicle
with his vehicle.
-MCSO received a report of
trespassers at orchard at Paul
Smith and Kunze roads.
-MCSO received a report of a
window of a residence shot with
a bb gun.
-MCSO received a report of a
neighbor's dog chasing sheep in
Irrigon.
-MCSO received a report of a
door open and a window broken
at a residence in Heppner
discovered when a woman went
to feed the owner’s cats.
-Boardman Police Department
received a report of two men
speeding in a red Porsche toward
Miller Lane in Boardman.
-Heppner Fire Department
chief received a report of a
possible illegal bum.
He
checked it out and all was OK,
not a hazard.
- MCSO and the Oregon
Department of Fish and Wildlfe
received a report of a pickup with
lights on top and shots fired near
Potlatch office.
-MCSO received a report of
harassing phone calls. A man
was reported to have called over
the past four days and hung up
when questioned about the
number he was calling.
-MCSO received a report of a
suspicious woman driving slowly
through Ella Road, lone area, and
passing by a home several times.
When confronted, the woman
driver appeared confused, didn't

know where she was and said she
was on her way to Baker City
from Seattle.
Officers were
unable to locate the woman.
-Oregon State Police, MCSO,
Boardman Fire Department and
the
Boardman
Ambulance
responded to a report of a Bronco
that had rear ended a semi east of
Highway 730 and 1-84 junction.
One male with a broken leg and
bleeding from the neck was
transported to GSH. A juvenile
in the vehicle was uninjured but
was also transported to GSH to
meet with his parents. The driver
was his mom's boyfriend.
-MCSO received a report of a
vehicle in the median on 1-84
milepost 16 with two other cars
with headlights pointed at it.
Officers were unable to locate
anything..
-MCSO received a report of a
drunk driver heading westbound
on 1-84 milepost 164 near
Boardman.
-MCSO received a report of
people at Hilltop and Ridgecrest
yelling and revving their car
engine.
Oct. 19: MCSO received a
report of a woman who claimed
she had hit her head on a counter
at the hospital but the hospital
staff said the woman's friend told
them she had jumped out of a
motor home on Madison Butte.
-MCSO received a report of an
injured dog on the side of a street
in Imgon that needed to be put
down.
-MCSO received a report of
two dogs lost on upper Rhea
Creek- a Brittany spaniel and a
springer spaniel.
-MCSO received a report o f an
intoxicated driver in Imgon.
-Boardman Police Department
received three reports of a
suspicious man in Boardman
flagging down traffic. The man
was given a ride to Desert
Springs Estates.
-MCSO received a report of a
pink duffle bag with glasses and
personal belongings found on I-
84 east bound at Patterson Ferry.
-MCSO received a report of a
911 call from Imgon, but when
traced no one answered, but there
was a lot of screaming.
Oct. 21- MCSO received a
report of an unattended death at
Imgon Trailer Park.
MCSO received a report of cars
speeding past Imgon Fire Hall.
MCSO received information on
the location of a man who
allegedly stole a safe from a fruit
stand in Imgon.
MCSO received a report of a
violation of a restraining order.
MCSO received a report from a
father that his son was en route
to Heppner with a Driving While
Suspended felony. It turned out
that the man was not driving; his
mother was.
MCSO received a report of a
wrong way driver east bound in
a west bound lane, Eti Lale Ena,
40, was arrested for an alleged

Oct. 22- MCSO received a
report of an ex-student taking
other students away with him
from the Imgon Learning Center.
MCSO received a report of two
dogs chasing kids to a bus in
Boardman.
MCSO received a report of a
cow out on the comer of Kunze
and Miller roads in Boardman.
MCSO received a report of a
six-year old who had not
returned home form school in
Boardman.
The boy later
returned.
MCSO received a report of a
Waldport man who had come to
court in Heppner Monday and
had not been heard from since.
The man was located in
Hermiston.
MCSO received a report of a
911 call in Imgon. It was a false
alarm.
MCSO received a report of
people who appeared to be
smoking dope in a car among
trucks at the Nugget Inn in
Boardman.
Oct. 23- MCSO received a
report from the BP station of a
man drunk and throwing up at
the station and who onlookers
believed shouldn’t be driving.
The man was located. No sign of
a DUII.
MCSO received a report of 10-

The draft environmental impact
statement (EIS) for the proposed
Northeast Oregon Assembled
Land Exchange is available for
review and comment, according
to district manager Ed Singleton.
The public comment period
closes Dec. 30.
The draft EIS analyzes the sale
or exchange of up to 85,000
acres of BLM-administered land
scattered across Baker, Union,
Umatilla, Morrow, Grant, and
Wheeler counties.
According to the BLM, the
preferred alternative would result
in the disposal of mostly
scattered and isolated tracts of
public land. In Phase I of the
exchange, the BLM would
acquire a large block of private
land along the North Fork of the
