Sherron Woodside and Betty
Christman took a little trip this
summer. Their "little" trip took
them 8,950 miles through 20
states.
They left Morrow County on
July 28 and were able to return
on Sept. 10, just in time to use
their Round-Up tickets purchased
for Sept. 12.
Woodside attended her Bunch
family reunion on August 3 at
Thousand Hills State Park, just
west of Kirksville, Missouri,
where they stayed with Sherron's
uncle, Dean Bunch, for two
nights. After the stay in
Kirksville, the "rules" were to not

There were 73 present for the Senior dinner Oct. 1, and nine
meals were home delivered. Members of the Nazarene and
Seventh-day Adventist Church served. Sue Vinson was given a
special thanks for her fund raising "Go-fer" table. She spends at
least three hours almost every Wednesday selling a variety of
things brought in by seniors. The proceeds go to help support the
Senior Center. Contributions to the table are always appreciated.
Mary Jean and Ernie McCabe decorated the dining room in the
Halloween motif.
The Nutrition Site Committee met following the meal. Hearing aid
assistance was given and blood pressures taken before the meal
and eye glasses adjustment after.
The menu for dinner Oct. 15 will be pork roast, au gratin
potatoes, peas, rolls, applesauce and cookies. Members of the
Episcopal Church will serve.
Corol Mitchell, Cammy Williams and Cathy Peck had a birthday
party for Barton Clark in his apartment Thursday afternoon.
Twelve of the other tenants attended. His family had another party
for him on Friday.
Thirty-four people attended the breakfast Friday, Oct. 3, and
three breakfasts were home delivered. The breakfast experiment
will end Oct. 3 unless attendance holds up or increases. If you
haven't tried one you've missed delicious meals and a chance to
visit with your friends. The menu for Oct. 12 will be eggs and
bacon, muffins, cereal, fruit, orange juice and milk, coffee and tea.
Breakfast for Oct 17 will be sausage and pancakes, fruit, hot
cereal, cold cereal, orange juice milk, coffee and tea.
Friday, Oct. 3, Corol and Ruby Steers gave a [arty for Doll
Campbell's birthday. A large group attended and 12 made up
three tables of pinochle after cake and ice cream.
Five seniors watched the movie "Little Man Tate" on Sunday.
The new driver’s scheduling for the Dollaride van is running
smoothly. Those wishing to use the service should call the senior
office at least a day ahead of their appointment. The Hot Meals
Express runs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Those
needing a noon meal those days should call the hospital to order.
