walk-run fund raising event.
The walk took place July 26 at
Waterworks Park in Vancouver,
Washington.
There were 94 non-profit
agencies and 852 registered
walkers in this year's event,
earning over $31,000 for the
registered organizations.
Outreach Ministry's first place
prize was a TV and VCR. All
together they collected over
$4,280 in pledges, $2,038 of
which was donated by lone
Youth Group.
This is the fourth year that the
lone
Youth
Group
has
participated in the Human Race
on behalf of Outreach Ministry.

in an automobile accident in
1994.
The money collected helps the
Outreach Ministry staff to care
for the chronically ill, and to
provide a family support system
by caring for the personal needs
of the homeless people in the
Burnside area of Portland.
Fifteen individuals represented
lone Youth Group in this year's
walk.
Walkers were Laurel
Cannon, Bill Rietmann, Jannie
Allen, Bonnie Ball, Jen Paavola,
Judy Davidson, Brandi Orem,
Jen
McElligott,
Cathy
Halvorsen,
Ton
Odinet,
Elizabeth Allen, Charissa Gates,
Allison
Halvorsen,
Natalie
McElligott, and Caitlin Orem.
Cathy Halvorsen was awarded
two
airline
tickets
from
