awards ceremony on May 27.
After being welcomed by princi­
pal Dick Allen, Barbara Collins
and Dean Robinson presented the
fall sports awards. Steve Schaber
and Dale Holland presented the
basketball awards; Robinson then
presented the track awards. He
noted that the girls’ team finished
first at district and many school
records were met or broken.
Robinson gave the Great Auk
awards to participating students.

ney William Hanlon has con­
ducted the following cases.
James Elmer Starr, 64, Hepp­
ner, was convicted of two counts

Abuse I on March 20, and sen­
tenced by Judge Jeffrey Wallace
to five years probation and 90
days jail on each count for a total
of 180 days to be served consecu­
tively, and the following condi-
tions-attend sex offender treat­
ment program, submit to blood
sample for DNA testing, register
as a sex offender, have no con­
tact with the victim, no contact
with minors, submit to a poly­
graph, have no sexually explicit
material, no alcohol, attend AA,
have alcohol and drug counseling
and alcohol treatment program,
and standard conditions. Also pay
unitary assessment of $94 on each
count, county jail assessment of
$59 on each count and LE medi­
cal assessment o f $5 on each
count.
John Wesley Rumbelow, 19,
Boardm an, was convicted o f .
Theft I-C/Felony on May 22 and
sentenced by Judge Jeffrey
Wallace to 18 months probation,
40 hours com munity service
work, pay a unitary assessment of
$94, $500 fine suspended, resti­
tution of $700 to Kegler’s Sentry
Market, attorney fees of $310,
county jail assessment of $59 and
LE medical assessment of $5.
Ricardo Sanchez Rodriguez,
28, Hermiston, was convicted of
Assault 2-B/Felony on May 29
and sentenced by Judge Jeffrey
Wallace to 70 months in jail, 3
years probation, restitution of
$386.40 to Good Shepherd Com­
munity Hospital, $219.00 to Her­
miston Head and Neck Clinic, and
$26.45 Boardman Pharmacy.
Rodriguez was also convicted of
Initiating a False Report-C/Mis-
demeanor on May 29 and sen­
tenced by Judge Jeffrey Wallace
to 30 days in jail to run concur­
rent with the first count.
