Sheriff's Report
The Morrow County Sheriffs
office (MCSO) reports the fol­
lowing business during the last
two weeks:
April 15: MCSO received a re­
quest for a deputy to a residence
m Im gon. An ambulance had
been called to the residence;
MCSO dispatched to the
Bcardman Police Dept, a report
o f an attempted break in at a
Boardman residence;
MCSO dispatched to the Or­
egon State Police a report o f a
domestic argument at a residence
in Irrigon;
MCSO received a request for
a deputy at Columbia Middle
School in Irrigon for a report of a
juvenile who had stolen some­
thing;
MCSO received a report of
seven or more cows out on Kunze
Road in Boardmafi;
MCSO received a report of a
black older Lincoln that drove
through a construction site on
Highway 207 north of Lexington;
Morrow County deputy ar­
rested Dean Curtis Polston, 27, on
a charge of Unauthorized Use of
a Motor Vehicle. He was lodged
at the Umatilla County Jail;
MCSO received a report of gas
stolen from an Irrigon residence
every night;
MCSO received a report of a
dog howling in Imgon. The fam­
ily had moved away and left the
dog behind;
MCSO received a report of
three cows found on Paul Smith
Road in Boardman;
MCSO received a report of a
person cashing $5 worth of quar­
ters at the Irrigon Market. The
clerk thought the quarters may
have been involved in a previous
case;
MCSO received a report o f a
home broken into at B lake’s
Ranch. Items were reported miss­
ing;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of a silver and red pickup pulling
a trailer with no lights traveling
around 80 mph. They were unable
to locate the vehicle;
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, a report of a sus­
picious vehicle at Pioneer Memo­
rial Hospital, and young adults
running behind the clinic.
April 16: MCSO received a re­
port of a suspicious vehicle on
Homestead Road;
MCSO received a report of an
alarm set off accidently;
MCSO received a report of a
fire alarm at the lone Elementary
School. It was a false alarm;
Morrow County deputy and the
Oregon State Police responded to
a report of a semi-truck on 1-84
eastbound, milepost 131 with a
driver who appeared to be falling
asleep. The vehicle was crossing
over the line;
MCSO received a report o f a
disabled vehicle at 1-84 west­
bound, milepost 166;
MCSO received a report of a
boat that had broken down in the
marina. No marine patrol was
available to help. The situation
was okay;
MCSO dispatched the Heppner
ambulance a request to respond
to St. Patrick’s Senior Center. A
woman had passed out in the din-
ing room. The patient was trans­
ported to PioneeT Memorial Hos­
pital in Heppner;
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, a report of a
missing person;
MCSO received a report of
people who had moved who
hadn’t feed or watered their dogs
in two days;
MCSO and the Umatilla Police
Dept, received a report of two
men dressed in black leather who
looked like men seen on the news
who had a shoot-out with police
in the south and are supposedly
in the Northwest. The men were
seen by the BP station in Board-
man;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of a loose dog;
MCSO received a report o f
hang up calls at an lone residence;
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, a report of an ’85
tan Ford Tempo stolen from Jay
Coil’s shop on Riverside in Hepp­
ner;
MCSO received a report of a
person dumping a sick dog off;
MCSO received a report of a
tractor trailer headed westbound
on 1-84 from Highway 730 with
no tail lights;
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner ambulance a report of a 17
year old girl in Heppner having
seizures. The patient was trans­
ported to Pioneer Memorial Hos­
pital in Heppner;
April 17: MCSO received a re­
quest for an additional patrol at a
residence in Irrigon. There had
been an attempted break-in there
the night before;
MCSO received a report of a
black Dodge pickup with an ex­
tended cab with a utility trailer
crossing over traffic lines on 1-84
«astbound, milepost 94;
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, and Fire Dept, a
report of a fire at Pioneer Memo­
rial Hospital. There was no fire-
the problem was believed to be
in the phone lines;
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, a report of a lock
broken on a outside freezer at
Miller’s Mini-Mart in Heppner.
$300 of food was stolen from the
locker;
MCSO received a report of a
missing 17 year old;
MCSO received a report of a
stolen Malamute dog, valued at
$600, from a residence in Imgon;
MCSO dispatched to the Or­
egon State Police a report of a dog
hit by the Boardman Rest Area.
April 17: MCSO received a re­
port of a break-in at a mobile
home in Irrigon;
MCSO received a report of a
13 year old girl harassed by males
in a vehicle near the girl’s resi­
dence in Imgon;
MCSO received a report of a
suspicious vehicle at.Tom Camp
Road in Boardman.
April 18: MCSO dispatched to
the Heppner Police Dept, a report
of a man causing problems;
MCSO dispatched to the Or­
egon State Police and Gilliam
County Sheriffs office a report
of a young adult found dead at
Columbia Ridge Landfill in Ar­
lington;
MCSO received a report of a
domestic dispute in Imgon. Be­
longings of one resident were
thrown out of the house;

MCSO returned a hoise trailer
to William Worden in Heppner.
The trailer had been stolen ear­
lier;
MCSO dispatched to the Or­
egon State Police a report of a
white pickup traveling at a high
rate of speed westbound past the
Highway 730 exit;
MCSO received a report of
cattle out on Paul Smith/Canal
Road in Boardman. The owner
took care of the problem;
MCSO received a request for
a deputy concerning a juvenile
problem;
Morrow County deputy ar­
rested Dawn Lee Johnston, 31, for
Disorderly Conduct. Johnston
was transported to the Umatilla
County Jail.
April 19: MCSO received a re­
port of loud music and noise at
Desert Springs Estates;
MCSO received a report of a
disabled vehicle on 1-84 west­
bound;
MCSO received a report o f
cows out near W est G len in
Boardman;
MCSO received a report of ju­
veniles climbing on a neighbor’s
fence in Imgon and destroying it;
MCSO received a report of sus­
picious persons on the south side
of 1-84 on the bluff. Turned out
kids building a fort;
MCSO received a request for
a welfare check for a person’s son
living out-of-state;
MCSO received a report of a
vehicle in lone that had been
scratched and the steering wheel
loosened;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of four 4-wheelers spinning cook­
ies in the parking lot at the Board-
man BP station;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of a burglary alarm at a Board-
man residence. It was a false
alarm;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of a domestic dispute between
Wilson Road Trailer Court and
the Outback Apts., with male and
female screaming. It turned out
to be a couple wrestling and hav­
ing fun;
MCSO received a report of a
suspicious person around a house
past the golf course in Heppner.
A male started running through a
field toward the ODFW bam;
MCSO received a report of a
man harassing people at a resi­
dence in lone;
April 20: MCSO dispatched to
the Heppner Police Dept, a report
of a problem at the Dept, of Mo­
tor Vehicles in Heppner. The back
door was open, the building was
secure;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman ambulance a report of
a man in Boardman having chest
pains;
MCSO dispatched to the
Wheeler County Sheriffs office
a report o f a buffalo breaking
down fences near Stone Cabin
Road outside Fossil;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of a shoplifter at Kegler’s Sentry
in Boardman. John Earl Lagrow,
26, was charged with Theft III
Shoplifting;
MCSO received a report of a
large group of juveniles in the
back part of a lot at Desert Springs
Estates in Boardman. Turned out

April 21: MCSO received a re­
port of a suspicious vehicle driv­
ing around Pioneer Memorial
Hospital in Heppner several times
and parked in the parking lot;
MCSO received a report o f a
theft o f a 5-horse Honda pump
valued at $700 from Western
Empire;
Morrow County deputy and the
Oregon State Police responded to
a motor vehicle accident by the
post office in Irrigon which re­
sulted in an injury and blocked
traffic. The ambulance was also
called;
MCSO received a report of an
abandoned vehicle near River
Road in Irrigon;
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, a domestic dis­
pute at Water Street in Heppner;
MCSO received a report of an
Olympus 3500 camera found in a
boat after a bass tournament in
Irrigon;
MCSO received a report of a
child who had not shown up for
school and had not returned
home;
MCSO received a report of a
vacant house at Knowlin Road
which was broken into, gate left
open, and horses let loose;
MCSO received a report of a
suspicious vehicle at the Imgon
Mobile Home Park.
April 22: MCSO dispatched to
the Oregon State Police a report
of an injured deer on the fog line
on 1-84 eastbound, milepost 143.
MCSO responded to a burglary
attempt at an Imgon residence;
MCSO received a report o f a
burglary at the Yattel Corp. A
scale shack was broken into with
door knobs cut and numerous
items stolen;
MCSO received a report of an
abandoned vehicle at the Corps
of Engineers’ property;
Morrow County deputy and the
Boardman Fire Dept, responded
to a report of a vehicle on fire on
1-84 westbound, milepost 169.
The vehicle was overheated. The
Fire Dept, call was cancelled;
Morrow County deputy re ­
sponded to a juvenile problem at
a home on Kunze Road near Paul
Smith Lane in Boardman;
MCSO received a report of a
suspicious person on property on
Spur Loop Road near Heppner;
MCSO dispatched to the Or­
egon State Police a report of a 14
year old runaway from Irrigon;
Morrow County deputy re­
sponded to a juvenile problem in
Imgon. Deputy took juvenile to
Imgon Annex for further inves­
tigation of the problem;
MCSO received information
concerning a possible Riverside
High School senior skip to the Ir­
rigon Marina.
April 23: Flood warning sys­
tem reached a level two with
nearly 3” of rain in 30 minutes on
Shobe Creek. The computer was
reset to level 1.
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Public Works a report
of a broken water main causing
water to shoot out in the street on
Boardman Avenue;
MCSO received a report of a
theft of liquor by a juvenile from
a home in Irrigon;
MCSO received a report o f
$2,500 stolen from a safe at a resi­
dence in Heppner;
MCSO received a report of an
alarm going off at the Pioneer
Memorial Hospital because of
PTI work on phone lines;
MCSO received a request for
a deputy concerning a report of a
possible situation involving
people getting evicted from the
Irrigon Mobile Park;
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, a report from the
Portland Police Dept, that a
Browning rifle stolen from a Lex­
ington man had been located;
MCSO received a report of
loud music from a mobile home
in Imgon;
MCSO received a request for
an extra patrol at Rivercrest
Farms in Boardman.
April 24: MCSO dispatched to
the Boardman Police Dept, a re­
port of dogs barking at night at a
Boardman residence;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of a motion alarm at Desert Wind
Medical Clinic in Boardman.
Construction workers were at the
site;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of a real break-in at Desert Wind
Home Health, Boardman;
MCSO received a report of a
theft o f a tool chest, tools and
other items from a shop on Wash­
ington Street, Irrigon;
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner ambulance a report of a child
with a back injury at lone Grade
School. Two Emergency Medical
Technicians were at the scene.
The patient was transported to
Pioneer Memorial Hospital in
Heppner;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of a stereo stolen from a vehicle
at Trail Apts, in Boardman;
MCSO received a request for
a deputy concerning threats to a
woman on Cain Drive in Irrigon;
MCSO received information
about burning tires at a residence
in Boardman;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of loud music at a residence in
Boardman;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of a vicious dog in Boardman.
The dog was eventually caught;
MCSO received a report of a
suspicious man asking questions
at a home in Boardman;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of a bike stolen from a residence
in Boardman. The bike was found
at the Outback Apts.;
MCSO received a report from
the Heppner Police Dept, of a
vehicle stolen from Cottage
Grove located at the Mt. Glen
Apts, parking lot in Heppner. The
vehicle was towed and im ­
pounded.
April 25: MCSO received a re­
port of a dispute in Imgon. The
problem turned out to be civil;
MCSO received a report of a
Shetland pony found on property
in Boardman;
MCSO received a report of a
car broken into at a residence in
Irrigon. A stereo and CD player
were stolen;
M CSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of a woman almost hitting kids
with her vehicle;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman ambulance a report of
a woman who collapsed in her car
on Kinkade Street in Boardman.
The patient was transported to
Good Shepherd Community Hos­
pital in Hermiston;
MCSO received a report of a
boat stuck on a mud bar between
Boardman and Irrigon below
McCormack Slough. The boat
was towed off the bar and back
to Boardman;
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, a report of a
fender-bender in Heppner;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
o f juveniles allegedly smoking
pot at W indsurfing Beach in
Boardman. They were unable to
locate the juveniles.
April 26: MCSO dispatched to
the Boardman Police Dept, a re­
port of a dog barking in Board-
man;
MCSO received a report of a
woman in lone who allegedly
tried to run another woman over
at the lone Park;
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, a report of a sto­
len Heppner vehicle recovered in
Lane County;
MCSO received a report o f
possible trespass at a residence at

April 27: MCSO received a re­
port of two horses eating grass in
a yard at a Heppner residence.
The horses were corralled;
MCSO received a report of a
dispute at a residence in Board-
man. An Emergency M edical
Technician was requested for a
female with an illness on the
scene;
MCSO dispatched to the Or­
egon State Police a report of a
man in a vehicle drinking out of
a beer can;
MCSO received a report of sus­
picious activity at a residence in
lone. James Ray Steelman, 42,
and Eugene Lois Stacy were cited
for Criminal Trespass.
April 28: MCSO received a re­
port of cattle out at Balm Fork
Road;
MCSO received a report of a
man dressed all in black lying
beside Highway 730 in Irrigon,
west of Desert Farm Supply;
MCSO received a report o f
tools valued at $2,000 were sto­
len out of the back of a pickup in
Imgon;

to be an injury accident;

four cows loose on Wilson Road;
Morrow County deputy and the
Heppner Police Dept, responded
to a possible restraining violation
at Mt. Glen Apts, in Heppner;
Morrow County deputy re­
sponded to a possible restraining
order violation at a residence in
Heppner;
Morrow County deputy and the
Boardm an Police D ept, re ­
sponded to a report of a woman
yelling and a group of males chas­
ing a woman at Wilson Road
Trailer Court in Boardman. They
were unable to locate the people;

April 29: MCSO received a re­
port of an audible burglar alarm
at a Boardman residence. The
building was secure;
MCSO received a report of two
leaking ammonia canisters at the
west end of the wildlife district
in Irrigon. It turned out that the
canisters did not have ammonia
in them;
MCSO received a report of a
landlord-tenant dispute in Irrigon;
MCSO received a report o f
dogs abandoned in Boardman;
MCSO received a report of the
arrest by the Boardman Police
Dept, o f Cindy Irene Marshall,
22, and Jill R. Lattimer, 20, for
Possession of a Controlled Sub-
stance-methamphetamine;
MCSO received a report of a
speeding white Blazer at 1-84,
milepost 171, westbound;
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Fire Dept, a report o f a Level
2 and then a Level 3 alarm at the
Lower Hinton Stream Gauge. The
Fire Dept, checked the area and
discovered the gauge was faulty;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of a threat to a resident in the
Outback Apts.
April 30: MCSO dispatched to
the Heppner Police Dept, a re­
quest for an officer for a report of
kids jum ping o ff the dam in
Heppner;

ner ambulance a request for a
transport. M orrow C ounty
deputy, and Boardman Police
Dept, responded to a report of a
possible ill man clutching his
chest under a railroad track over­
pass by Tidewater. The man was
reported to be working out prob­
lems;
MCSO received a report of a
missing juvenile. The juvenile
was believed to have run away
from Riverside High School in
Boardman;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of two men in custody at Sentry
Market in Boardman. Correra
Maria Guadalupe, 29, was cited
