Sheriff's Report
The Morrow County Sheriffs
office (MCSO) reported the fol­
lowing business the past two
weeks:
Feb. 18: MCSO dispatched to
the Boardman Police Dept, a re­
port of a tool trailer broken into in
front o f the R iverside High
School;
MCSO dispatched to the Or­
egon State Police a report o f a
Dodge Ram Charger abandoned
in a wheat field off Three Mile
turnoff on Kinney Road;
MCSO received a report o f
gang graffiti at Columbia Middle
School on the baseball dugout;
MCSO received a report o f
gang graffiti on a shop building in
Imgon;
MCSO received a report of a
suspicious vehicle on 1-84, west­
bound 177. The deputy was un­
able to locate the vehicle;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of a 13 year old boy who didn’t
come home from school. He was
later located;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of a prowler on Kinkade and Cot­
tonwood Loop in Boardman.
Thfcy were unable to locate the
prowler.
Feb. 19: MCSO dispatched to
the Boardman Police Dept, a re­
port of a careless driver at the BP
and Texaco stations in Boardman;
MCSO received a report of
criminal mischief to a home in Ir-
ngon;
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, a report of found
empty com boxes believed to be
stolen with coins;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of a lock broken off a storage
shed behind Trail Apts, in
Boardman;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Emergency Medical
Technicians a report of a wres­
tling injury at Sam Boardman El­
ementary School. One patient was
transported to Good Shepherd
Community Hospital in Hermiston;
MCSO received a report of a
disabled vehicle partially blocking
the westbound lane of 1-84, mile­
post 163. The deputy was unable
to locate the vehicle;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of suspicious subjects on Park
Avenue in Boardman.
Feb. 20: MCSO dispatched to
the lone Emergency Medical
Technicians and the Heppner
ambulance a report of a man hav­
ing chest pains. The patient was
transported to Pioneer Memorial
Hospital in Heppner;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of a man on foot on the 1-84 east-
bound off-ramp. The man, ex­
tremely intoxicated, was taken to
a motel;
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, a report of smoke
behind the bowling alley. It was a
controlled pile bum;
MCSO deputy responded to -
suspicious circumstances at the
fish hatchery in Irrigon. A man
reported a body in his fishing net;
MCSO received a report of a
stolen goat from the Boardman
area;
MCSO received a report of a
vulgar letter placed on a car win­
dow in Imgon.
Feb. 21-22: MCSO received a
report of a dog problem at the
w estbound rest area outside
Boardman,
MCSO received a report that
a fire alarm was set off acciden­
tally at Sam Boardman Elemen­
tary School;
MCSO received a report of a
dead dog on private property at
the W est Glenn A ddition in
Boardman;
MCSO received a report of a
custody dispute and possible as­
sault;
MCSO received a report of a
domestic dispute at the West Glenn
Estates, Boardman; '
MCSO
dispatched
the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
o f ju v en iles clim bing on a
woman’s roof in Boardman;
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, a report of a panic
alarm at the Bank of Eastern Or­
egon in Heppner. It turned out to
be a false alarm;
MCSO dispatched to the Or­
egon Dept, of Fish and Wildlife a
report of a deer hit on Highway
74 five miles past the Morrow
County Fairgrounds;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept a report
of a man who had kicked in the
door at a residence John Samuel
Williams, was arrested and trans­
ported to the Umatilla County Jail
on charges of Burglary I;
MCSO
dispatched
to
Boardman Police Dept, of a run­
away juvenile;
MCSO received a report of the
CSEPP building on Bombing
Range Road had been damaged
and possibly burglarized;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman ambulance a report of
a 22 year old female with severe
abdominal pain. The patient was
transported to Good Shepherd
Community Hospital in Hermiston;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Fire Dept, a report of
a controlled bum that went out-
of-control;
MCSO received a report of a
home and horse trailer burglarized;
MCSO received a report of a
white cow with black spots in the
yard of a home on Kunze Lane in
Boardman;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of a suspicious man, possibly in­
toxicated, and looking for His
Place, at the Chevron station in
Boardman;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of an unruly subject at His Place
in Boardman. Teddy W. Bennett,
40, w as arrested on possession of
marijuana;
MCSO received a report of a
vehicle in the ditch on Highway
730, three miles west of Irrigon;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept a report
of a suspicious juvenile hanging
around the Nomad in Boardman.
Feb. 23: MCSO received a re­
port of a school bus broken down
near Three-Mile Canyon;
MCSO received a report of
gang graffiti on a reefer trailer
parked outside Bake's in Imgon;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of dogs running loose;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a request
for an officer concerning some
gang members;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of a stray dog chasing kids in
Boardman;
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, a report o f a
motion alarm at Les Schwab in
Heppner. All was determined to
be secure;
MCSO received a report of in­
sufficient funds checks at the Ir­
rigon BP;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of an injured dog on Paul Smith
Road;
MCSO received a report of
shooting on Fuller Canyon Lane;
MCSO received a report of a
suspicious man asking to use the
phone at a residence at Miller and
Kunze in Boardman. The man’s
car had broken down.
Feb. 24: MCSO dispatched to
the Heppner ambulance a request
for an ambulance to St. Patrick’s
Senior Center for an 86 year old
woman lying on the floor;
MCSO received a request for
a deputy at Columbia Middle
School in Imgon for a student with
marijuana residue in a pipe;
MCSO received a report of that
an information sign at Three-Mile
Canyon recreation boat dock had
been destroyed;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of registration, title and other pa­
pers taken from the glove com­
partment of a vehicle. The woman
had been cleaning the car and
went inside her home briefly;
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, a report of dogs
running loose;
MCSO received a report of a
loud radio at a residence in Im ­
gon;
MCSO deputy, the Oregon
State Police, Boardman Police
Dept, and ambulance responded
to a rollover on 1-84, milepost 151
on an overpass. Two patients
were transported to Good Shep­
herd Community Hospital in Her­
miston and the freeway was
closed for one hour.
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner ambulance a request for an
ambulance to St. Patrick’s Senior
Center. One patient was trans­
ported to Pioneer Memorial Hos­
pital in Heppner;
MCSO received a report of
dogs running around in Imgon;
MCSO received a request for
a deputy concerning a strange
message, possibly a domestic dis­
pute, on an answering machine in
Boardman;
MCSO received a request for
a deputy from a woman in
Boardman who said she was be­
ing followed and harassed by an
ex-boyfriend;
MCSO
dispatched
the
Boardman Fire and Police depts.,
Boardman ambulance, Imgon Fire
Dept, and a MCSO deputy for a
report of a propane tank explo­
sion at Frontier Trailer Court in
Boardman. At least one man was
reported to have bums to his face;
MCSO deputy responded to a
domestic dispute at a residence in
Imgon. Carl J. S. Gittmgs, 31, was
arrested on charges of Assault IV
Domestic. He was released on his
own recognizance due to over­
crowding;
MCSO received a report of a
burglary at a residence in
Boardman. Four-trax, tv, vcr and
other items valued at $9,000 were
stolen;
MCSO received a report of a
juvenile harassing a girl on the
school bus. Thejuvenile allegedly
threatened to kill her dog;
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, a report of a driv­
ing complaint. A person was fol­
lowing too close and almost hit
another vehicle.
Feb. 26: MCSO received a re­
port of a burglary at a residence
in Irrigon. Guns and other items
were reported missing;
MCSO
dispatched
the
Boardman ambulance to His Place
in Boardman. A man was report­
edly having chest pains and short­
ness of breath;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, and am­
bulance a report of a man down
at the Trail Apts, in Boardman;
MCSO deputy and the
Boardman Police Dept, responded
to a report of a fight in progress
at the Sandpiper Apts, in
Boardman;
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, a report of two
people trying to break into the old
Van Marter house on Highway 74
south;
MCSO dispatched the Heppner
Police Dept, a report of a dingo-
looking dog w ith a black pup at­
tacking two children;
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, a report of a ve­
hicular hit-and-run;
MCSO received a request for
a deputy at Columbia Middle
School in Imgon for a theft that
allegedly occurred at the school;
MCSO responded and dis­
patched to the lone Emergency
Medical Technicians and Hepp­
ner ambulance a report of an un­
conscious woman who was not
breathing;
MCSO received a report of a
burglary in Boardman;
MCSO received a report of ju ­
veniles who had broken windows
of mobile homes in Imgon;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman ambulance a report of
a person who had a cut on their
head. The ambulance was can­
celled;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept a report
of a stray dog at a trailer court.
Feb. 28: MCSO received a re­
port of a vehicle in the ditch on
Kunze Road, and partially in the
road. The deputy was unable to
locate the vehicle;
MCSO received a report of a
broken office door at Western
Empire in Imgon and all the cash
was missing from the cash box;
MCSO received a report of
crank phone calls at a residence
on Black Mountain Lane up W.C.
Road;
MCSO dispatched the Heppner
Police Dept, a report of an alarm
at the Heppner High School;
MCSO received a report of a
horse eating fiberglass in a pas­
ture a half mile west of Imgon;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of an ex-boyfriend refusing to
leave a residence at the Trail
Apts, in Boardman;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of a suspicious van parked at Wil­
son Road Trailer Court.
March 1: MCSO dispatched to
the Boardman ambulance a report
of a man in the parking lot of the
Nomad Restaurant in Boardman
with a broken ankle;
MCSO responded and dis­
patched the Boardman Police
Dept, a report of a fight in a park­
ing lot at the Nomad Restaurant
in Boardman;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of a person driving too fast at Wil­
son Road T railer C ourt in
Boardman;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of a gun stolen from a residence
in Boardman;
MCSO dispatched to the Hepp­
ner Police Dept, a report of a child
left alone at Willow Apts, in Hepp­
ner.
March 2: MCSO deputy re­
sponded to a report of an aban­
doned house that had collapsed in
Imgon. Possible movement was
detected inside;
MCSO received a report of a
lost dalmatian in Imgon;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of a service truck with a welder
and torch stolen from the TACX
on Tagarres Lane o ff Tower
Road;
MCSO received a report of two
cows out on Highway 207, 1.5
miles south of Heppner. They
were put into a pasture;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of a CB stereo stolen from a ve­
hicle in front of the Outback Apts,
in Boardman;
MCSO received a report of
children scattering things around
a residence and taking toys in Ir­
rigon;
MCSO received a report of a
truck stolen from TACX had been
found abandoned on Tower Road;
MCSO dispatched to the
Boardman Police Dept, a report
of suspicious circumstances at a
home in Boardman. Everything
was okay.
March 3: MCSO dispatched to
the Boardman Police Dept, a re­
port of a dumpster with wheels in
the middle of N.W. Boardman
Avenue, west of Dodge City.
