Robertson is a professional violinist and an instructor in violin and viola at Eastern Oregon State College at LaGrande. She has taught students in the U. S., Europe, and Korea since 1972. The culmination of her teaching at lone was a student assembly for the public. Students sang and play­ ed instruments they had con­ structed with material from home. The fifth and sixth grade band also performed under the direction of music instructor, Ron Neighom, and Robertson. Students and teachers agreed that Robertson’s instruction had enriched their understanding of music Robertson held a well attended public concert on her last evening in lone. She was accompanied by Karla Powell, Condon School’s music specialist. The Artist in Residency Pro­ gram has been a long standing program at lone Elementary School. It is sponsored by the Eastern Oregon Regional Arts Council, Oregon Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts.
