Our wonderful community
never ceases to amaze me! I
nearly fell off my chair when
Claudia H ughes announced at
the annual Town and Country
luncheon that I was a recipient
of a “ Hats Off“ award!
My sincere thanks goes out to
the Heppner Chamber of Com
merce for such an honor. I real
ly feel I need to share that hat
with my mom and dad (Ginger
and Dick Wilkinson), and my
husband Mark, for all their
hard work and optimism dur
ing the recent fight against
Measure 38. There are so many
people willing to roll up their
sleeves and work for good
causes here, and it makes me
both happy and proud to be a
part of such a hard-working
community. My hat is truly off
to you all!
C ongratulations to Doris
Brosnan, who was the recipient
of the other “ Hats Off“ award.
We're lucky to have such a
talent in out midst.
