B.M .C.C. to offer
ski classes
sions of crosscountry ski in-
Anyone interested in either
learning to cross-country ski or
increasing cross-country skills
is invited to contact Blue Moun-
tain C om m unity C ollege
(BMCC) Morrow County coor-

Nov. 1.
BMCC, in conjunction with
the Arbuckle Nordic Club of
Heppner, is planning four ses-

struction, during February, if
enough skiers indicate interest.
The class would be held in the
Blue Mountains above Hepp­
ner on four consecutive Satur­
days. Cost of the course is $20,
plus the cost of reasonably pric­
ed equipment rental.
As in the past, the class
would meet Saturday morning
at the parking lot at Heppner
High School, where members
will carpool to the mountains.

Strategies Board G rieb elected as alternate delegate
plans meeting
A meeting of the North Cen­
tral Oregon Regional Strategies
board will be held Sunday,
Oct. 27, at 1 p.m. at the Greater
Eastern Oregon Development
C orporation office at the
Pendieton airport.
The agenda will include
reports, election of officers, and
the calendar for the next several
months.
Virginia Grieb, Lexington,
has been elected as an alternate
delegate to the 113th annual
meeting of the American An­
gus Association (AAA) to be
held Nov. 17-18 in Louisville,
KY., reports Richard Spader,
executive vice president of the
AAA.
Grieb, a member of the AAA,
is one of 299 Angus breeders
who have been elected by
fellow members of their state
association to serve as an alter­
nate representative at the an­
nual meeting. Representing 44
states and Canada, the state
delegates will participate in the
business meeting and elect a
new president, vice president
and five directors to the AAA
board.
The annual meeting is held in
conjunction with the annual
convention and banquet, and
the Roll of Victory Angus show
during the North American In­
ternational Livestock Exposi­
tion.
