Bulletin Board
There were 71 people present for the senior birthday dinner
Sept. 25, and three meals were home delivered. Members of the
Baptist Church served. Bob Taylor won the meal ticket and Barb
Struthers, the birthday gift, jane Rawlins and Daisy Collins
decorated the tables with placemats, fresh flowers and candles,
and Dot Halvorsen gave a poetic reading. Blood pressures were
taken before the meal.
The menu for Oct. 9 will be macaroni and cheese with ham,
Harvard beets, tossed salad, rolls, blueberry pie and ice cream.
Members of the Episcopal Church will serve. The Senior Center
Board and the Nutrition Site Committee will both meet at 1 p.m.
Hearing aid assistance will be given and blood pressures taken
before the meal.
The Red Cross had a busy afternoon Thursday at the blood
drawing. Donors were coming and going all afternoon.
One table of cards was in play Friday afternoon.
Saturday afternoon, Ed Baker drove 15 people to Hardman for
the oyster dinner.
Five people saw "Date With an Angel" Sunday evening.
The mmi-Health Fair will be held at the center from 8:30 a.m.
until 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10. Flu shots will be given and a soup
and roll lunch will be available.
Other dates to remember: Tuesday and Thursday exercise, 10
a.m.; Wednesday blood pressures taken, 11 a.m., senior meal,
noon; Friday cards, 2 p.m.; Sunday movie, 7 p.m.
