time Utility Worker will also
work eight (8) hours each
weekend (during the non-sum­
mer work schedule) to perform
routine sewer plant operational
tasks and provide janitorial ser­
vices at City facilities. The posi­
tions will pay $8.25/hour. The
positions involve manual labor,
which may include the opera­
tion of motorized yard equip­
ment, street repair operations,
painting, park maintenance,
brush clearing, lifting and re­
moval of litter and debris, and
general duties related to out­
door public works operations.
The water meter reader posi­
tion will require the ability to
read meters in a timely and ef­
ficient manner and to accurate­
ly read and record meter read­
ings. Applicants must possess
the ability to safely operate
motorized yard equipment and
follow oral and written instruc­
tions. Good physical condition
is necessary to enable strenu­
ous tasks outdoors in all types
of weather. A valid Oregon
drivers license is required. Due
to the nature of the work, the
State of Oregon, Bureau of
Labor and Industries, requires
that applicants be 18 years of
age or older.
