Twenty-two volunteers are signed up to help with rest stops, registration and check points. A volunteer crew of John Ed- mundson, Jim Wishart, Earl Fishburn and Don Finley freshened the green paint on the shamrocks marking the route this week. The Blue Mountain Barber- shoppers (BMB), directed by John Freeman, will perform in Heppner Saturday, March 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the Heppner Junior High School auditorium. In addition to the chorus, the show will also feature several quartets. St. Patrick's Committee entertainment chair Molly Rill says that around 40 barber- shoppers will be coming and adds that the group has writ ten a play geared to the Mor row County experience, incor porating local names in their performance. Tickets are now available for $5 each at Murray's Drug and may be purchased at the down town information booth Satur day, beginning around 1 p.m. If the presentation is not sold out, tickets will also be available at the door. Rill also says that the barber- shoppers will do a lot of roving downtown and will also sing during the KUMA coffee hour presentation. When the curtain rises Satur day evening, the BMB will be singing in their 14th year of harmony. It is a long way from their first show in 1983. The group first met in the summer of 1982, but took a while to get organized, chartered and learn music for their charter show. Nine of the original members are still singing with the chorus. The group has put on shows in La Grande, Baker City, Her- miston, Pendleton and Enter prise. They have sung in Elgin and gone to contests in Spo kane and Tri-Cities, WA and Twin Falls, ID. from page one Arts and Crafts Sale Morrow County Creative Arts and Crafts club will spon sor an arts and crafts sale Satur day, March 16, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. af the Les Schwab store.
