seven other eastern Oregon
communities.
Subscribers can connect at
speeds up to 28.8 kps, the in­
dustry's highest speed stan­
dard. Oregon ED-NET is also
now providing the new local
dial-up numbers for COM­
PASS on-line subscribers.
Heppner's number is 676-9906.
COMPASS is Oregon ED-
NET's public online informa­
tion service providing in­
dividuals with e-mail, Oregon
bulletin boards, as well as In­
ternet and Worldwide Web ac­
cess.
Joe Rietmann, lone, has been
named to the board of directors
of the E.R. Jackman Founda­
tion, development arm of the
Oregon State University Col­
lege of Agricultural Sciences.
Other new members of the
board of directors are Glenn
Wilson, Aumsville; Paul Mon-
tecucco, Canby; Bob Mace,
Central Point; Martin Thing-
vold, Corvallis and Bill Dolan,
St. Paul. They will serve for
three years.

Wild Horse Club has many
