The Oregon Trail Pro Rodeo
will once again feature Bruce
Kimsey of Chelan, WA, as
rodeo clown.
The five foot, 11 inch tall
rodeo professional has been a
member of the Professional
Rodeo Cowboys Association
since 1987. He was a National
High School Rodeo Association
qualifier in 1977 and was a Col­
umbia River Circuit bullfighter
in 1990 and 1992.
Kimsey, 35, lives in Olympia,
WA, with his wife, Dawn and
their children, Brandon and
Tia. He is a carpenter and en­
joys spending time with his
family, hunting and fishing in
addition to the rodeo.
Tractor pull new
O n W ednesday evening,
bring grandmas and grandpas,
aunts and uncles and anyone
else to watch your child par­
ticipate in Pioneer Implement's
Pedal Power Tractor Pulling
contest. This is for all children
ages 4 to 10. Sign up early to
be assured of a spot for this
new and exciting event at our
fair. Prizes for the Tractor Pull
will be donated by Pioneer Im­
plement.

Log Bucking contest is hard work
Everyone is invited to the
fairgrounds, Sunday, August
20, to watch the annual am a­
teur log bucking and w rapper
throw ing contest. The contest
begins at 10:30 a.m.
Cash prizes will be aw arded
in the Morrow County log
bucking and wrapper throwing
Contests up to fourth place.
The open classes contest has
no cubic limit and pays a $100
jackpot plus entry fee. There is
a $10 entry fee per class.
Contestants may use only
stock saws. No modified chain­
saws are allowed in the Mor­
row County class.
In the wrapper throwing con­
test, a timed event, contestants
will throw' binders over the logs
on a log truck and will bind the
load. The truck, binders and
logs will be furnished. The
w rapper throw ing contest will
follow the log bucking contest.
Darlene Scroggins and Pen-
land House Bed and Breakfast
will furnish the Larry Scroggins
Memorial Buckle for first place
in the w rapper throw ing con­
test.
All log truck drivers are in­
vited to sign up for the throw ­
ing contest. Signups m ust be
completed by 10 a.m. Sunday.

ty Park. Parade goers can en­
joy sandwiches and beverages
