Kool Kitchen Kids
There were 108 people present for the senior meal March 8.
Members of the Lutheran church served. Howard Gilliam won
the meal ticket. Lynn Bibby was the hostess. The senior center
board met following the meal.
The menu for the dinner March 22 will be chicken patties on
a roll, carrot and celery sticks, French fries, macaroni salad and
blueberry pie. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
will serve.
Eight seniors played pinochle Friday afternoon, March 10. No
movie was shown Sunday evening. It will also be cancelled for
March 19 because of the St. Pat's celebration.
Several tenants who have been ill the past week are all on the
mend and hopefully ready to celebrate over the weekend.
Any seniors who would like to sign up to help out with the
luncheon or the pie and coffee sale at the center Sat., March 18
will be most welcome. Also quilt ticket sales people are needed
for Saturday and Sunday. The quilt will be raffled Sunday.
Bill Cox, Doll Campbell and Barbara Struthers sold tickets at
the post office Monday, March 13.
Seniors are reminded to bring pies and to work the shifts they
signed up for on Saturday.
Other dates to remember: Tues., and Thurs., exercise 10 a.m.;
Wednesday, senior dinner noon; Friday, cards 2 p.m.; Sunday
movie 7 p.m. (except this Sunday).
FENCING

The Kool Kitchen Kids 4-H
cooking club met Wednesday,
March 8 at Shelley Rietmann's
house. All members except
Leland Rill were present.
Members present were:
Meghan Bailey, Shelley Riet-
mann, Jodie Carlson, Olivia
Sagely, Kandra Schmeltzer and
Claire Anderson.
Members made orange
smoothies and nachos. They
played a trivia game using
beepers to answer. Members
also worked in their foods and
nutrition booklet. Tami (the
groups leader) talked to the
group about fair, then members
cleaned up and the meeting
was adjourned.
Men's breakfast
slated March 19
The regular men's breakfast
will be held at the First Chris­
tian Church, Sunday, March
1 19, at 7 a.m.
Guest speaker will be Ken
Hailey, who will speak on the
topic “ creation versus evolu­
tion” . All men are invited to
attend.
