Game night in
Irrigon planned
Game night and dinner at
Stokes Landing Senior Center
in Irrigon are scheduled for Fri­
day Jan. 27 from 5 to 7 p.m. The
price is $2.50.
Pinochle and scrabble games
will be played from 7 to 10 p.m.
at a charge of $1. Coffee and
snacks will be served and
prizes will be awarded. The
center is located on Main at
Opal Place on the old highway.
Sheriffs Report
Norton — Kindle
Tom and Sue Norton of Heppner, announce the engagement
of their daughter Rebecca Norton, to James Kindle, both of
Pendleton.
The bride-elect graduated from Heppner High School in 1992
and attends Blue Mountain Community College. She is employed
with Steele's Restaurant in Pendleton.
Kindle, the son of Mick and LaRae Kindle of Heppner, also
graduated from Heppner High School in 1992. He works for Fleet-
wood Travel Trailers in Pendleton.
The couple plan a June 24 wedding at the Morrow County
Fairgrounds in Heppner.

January 10: Morrow County
deputy arrested Daniel Wayne
Wilson, 30, Heppner, for
Assault IV domestic. He was
lodged at the Umatilla County
Sheriff's office jail;
Morrow County deputy
began investigation of van­
dalism done at an Oregon Trail
site;
Morrow County deputy
responded to an animal com­
plaint near the school in
Irrigon;
Morrow County deputy
assisted Heppner Police Dept,
with an arrest;
Morrow County deputy in­
vestigated a report of people ac­
ting strangely at the east bound
rest area;
Morrow County Sheriff's of­
fice dispatched the Lexington
EMTs and Heppner ambulance
to a Lexington residence for a
female with an illness. There
was no transport;
Morrow County Sheriff's of­
fice dispatched the Boardman
ambulance to Cascade Special­
ities for a male with an injury.
Patient was transported to
Good Shepherd Community
Hospital in Hermiston.
January 11: Morrow County
Sheriff's office dispatched the
Heppner ambulance to a
residence on Gale St. One 87
year old male was .transported
to Pioneer Memorial Hospital;
Morrow County Sheriff's of­
fice disaptched the Fossil am­
bulance to the Fossil Mercantile
for a 70 year old female with an
illness;
Morrow County deputy
responded to a Boardman
residence to begin an investiga­
tion of a person who is missing.
Investigation is continuing;
Morrow County deputy
began an investigation of a
burglary in Irrigon. Items taken
were unknown at press time.
January 12: Morrow County
deputy responded to Irrigon to
assist Oregon State Police with
an animal problem on Hwy.
730 mile post 180;
Morrow County deputy took
a report of a traffic problem in
Lexington. Deputy was unable
to locate problem.
January 13: Morrow County
Sheriff's office dispatched the
Spray am bulance to the
Rimrock Room in Spray for a
man with an injury. He was
transported to John Day
Hospital;
Morrow County Sheriff's of­
fice dispatched the Condon
ambulance to a residence in
Condon for a 37 year old
woman with an illness. There
was no transport;
Morrow County Sheriff's of­
fice took a report of a
suspicious vehicle at the
Willow Creek Dam;
Morrow County Sheriff's of­
fice took a report of trespassing
in Irrigon;
Morrow County Sheriff's of­
fice dispatched the lone Rescue
to a residence out of Cecil. A
male patient was transported to
Pioneer Memorial Hospital
with an illness;
Morrow County deputy took
a report of an accident in lone.
There weren't any injuries;
Morrow County Sheriff's of­
fice dispatched the lone EMTs
and the Heppner ambulance to
2nd St, lone. There was no
transport;
Morrow County deputy
responded to the Irrigon area
for a report of a juvenile
problem.
January 15: Morrow County
Sheriff's office dispatched the
lone EMTs and Heppner am­
bulance to a residence on 2nd
St in lone. A male with an il­
lness was transported to
Pioneer Memorial Hospital in
Heppner;
Morrow County Sheriff's of­
fice dispatched the Boardman
ambulance and rescue vehicles
to a multiple vehicle accident
on 1-84 mile post 168, west
bound. Three patients were
transported to Good Shepherd
Com munity H ospital in
Hermiston;
Morrow County deputy
responded to a report of a fami­
ly disturbance on SE Third St.,
Irrigon. No arrests were made;
Morrow County deputy
responded to the Irrigon area
for a family disturbance;
Morrow County deputy
responded to the Boardman
area to locate a vehicle that was
reported driving weird. Depu­
ty was unable to locate vehicle;
Morrow County deputy
responded to the Irrigon area
for a report of a possible pro­
wler. Deputy was unable to
locate anything.
January 16: Morrow County
deputy responded to an assault
at a business in Irrigon. In­
vestigation is continuing;
Morrow Counyt deputy
responded to Washington St.
for a report of a prowler;
Morrow County deputy
responded to Nevada St, Ir­
rigon, for a report of a possible
domestic problem in progress.
Deputy was unable to locate
anything;
Morrow County Sheriff's of­
fice dispatched the Boardman
ambulance to a one vehicle roll
over accident on 1-84, mile post
175 west bound. One patient
with injuries was transported
to Good Shepherd Communi­
ty Hospital in Hermiston;
Morrow County Sheriff's of­
fice dispatched the Boardman
ambulance to 1-84, east bound,
mile post 174. One patient with
injuries was transported to
Good Shepherd Community
Hospital in Hermiston;
Morrow County Sheriff's of­
fice dispatched the Boardman
ambulance to 1-84, mile post
173 for a one vehicle accident.
There was no transport;
Morrow County deputy con­
tacted an Irrigon resident regar­
ding an overdue family
member;
Morrow County deputy
began investigation of a report
of theft from a business in
Boardman;
Morrow County deputy
began investigation of van­
dalism done to a vehicle while
it was parked at a business in
Irrigon;
Morrow County Sheriff's of­
fice dispatched the Heppner
Fire Dept, to an alarm at St.
Patrick's Senior Center.
January 17: Morrow County
deputy began investigation of
a report of theft from A & K
Materials in lone. Investigation
is continuing;
Morrow County deputy
responded to Rt. 1 Box 1784 for
a theft of a chain saw and tow
chain. Amount of value was
unknown at press time. In­
vestigation is continuing;
Morrow County deputy took
a report of telephone harass­
ment at a residence in Irrigon;
Morrow County deputy
responded to the Irrigon area
for a report of an animal pro
blem. Deputy was unable to
locate problem;
Morrow County deputy
responded to the Irrigon area
for a report of theft. An
O dyssey 4-Wheeler was
reported taken and later
recovered;
Morrow County Sheriff's of­
fice dispatched the Arlington
am bulance to Arlington
Medical Center for a transport
to Mid Columbia Medical
Center in The Dalles. One male
w as transported with an
unknown illness;
Morrow County deputy
responded to a residence on
Kunze Road for a report of
shots fired. Deputy was unable
to locate anything;
Morrow County deputy
responded to assist the Board-
man Police Dept at the Nugget
Motel for an unwanted subject.
Subject was gone upon arrival;
Morrow County deputy ar­
rested Larry A. Parrin 18, and
Daniel Hum, 18, both of Irrigon
for Unauthorized Use of a
Motor Vehicle. They were cited
and released.
January 18: Morrow County
Sheriff's office dispatched the
Heppner ambulance and lone
EMTs to a residence in the
Valby area. A 79 year old male
was transported to Pioneer
Memorial Hospital in Heppner
with an illness;
Morrow County depty
responded to a residence in
Boardman for a complaint of
explosions being set off. In­
vestigation is continuing;
Morrow County deputy
checked the Lexington area for
a suspicious vehicle on the
ridge. Deputy was unable to
locate vehicle;
Morrow County deputy
responded to the Irrigon Trailer
Court for an unwanted subject.
Problem was resolved;

unknown illness. No transport

ly engulfed on 1-84, mile post
173 eastbound.

The City Council of the City
of Heppner will hold a public
hearing on Monday, February
13, 1995, beginning at 7:00 pm
at Heppner City Hall, 188 West
Willow Street, to consider
adoption of a proposed or­
dinance adopting the City
Code of the City of Heppner,
Oregon, containing the com-
pliation of all ordinances of a
general nature together with
the changes made to said or­
dinances and including new
provisions as follows; Title 1,
Chapter 4, establishing a
general penalty system; Title 2,
Chapter 2, establishing the Ci­
ty Budget Committee in accor­
dance with Oregon Local
Budget Law; Title 2, Chapter 3,
establishing the City Planning
Commission and prescribing its
membership, operation and
authority; Title 2, Chapter 4,
establishing the H eppner
Housing Authority and Board
pursuant to Oregon Law; Title
2, Chapter 5, establishing the
Heppner Fire Department Ad­
visory Committee and prescrib­
ing its membership, operation
and authority; Title 2, Chapter
6, establishing a uniform pro­
cess and conditions for the
creation of standing and ad hoc
committees; Title 6, Chapter 1,
adopting the Oregon Vehicle
Code by reference; and Title 9,
Chapter 2, adopting the
Uniform Fire Code, providing
for enforcement thereof and
designating fire zones and
penalties. The ordinance also
declares an emergency.
Copies of the proposed or­
dinance and City Code are
available for public examination
at City Hall.
This hearing will be held in
a public meeting where
deliberations of the City Coun­
cil will take place. Any person
may appear at this meeting and
discuss the proposed ordinance
and City Code with the City
Council.
