used paperbacks store - next to Heppner City Hall
How much do the books cost? One-half the original price.
Can I sell paperbacks there? You can get credit equal to
one-forth the original price for books in good shape.
What good will “credit” do me? You can use credit to help pur
chase other books.
Can I just trade in a couple of books for one I want? You have
to pay for at least half your purchase (because the Brosnans can’t
pay the rent with trade-ins).
Can I take back the book I buy from them for credit? Yes.
Are their books old? Of the 4,000 + titles at the store, half have
copyright dates from the last ten years. Over 1,000 books have
copyrights from the last four years. Every week they are getting
more books, old and recent publications!
What kinds of books do they have? Fiction and nonfiction.
Why are they open so late? So people who can’t come by earlier
in the day have a chance to get books.
