There were 126 people present for the senior dinner Nov. 9.
Four meals were taken out. Blanche Jones won the free meal
ticket. Members of the First Christian Church served. The senior
center board met following the dinner. Jim Bruns was at the center
to assist seniors with hearing aid problems.
The menu for the dinner Nov. 23 will be macaroni and cheese,
spinach, purple plums, rolls and cake muffins. Members of the
Christian Life Center will serve.
Fifteen seniors and bus driver Dot Halvorsen enjoyed danc
ing and dinner at the Pendleton meal site Friday, Nov. 11. They
went shopping after lunch.
Sign up sheets at the senior center office for a trip to the Mis
sion mead site early in December and to Echo and Pendleton the
middle of December to see the Christmas lights. Dates will be
announced later. The transportation committee is open for sug
gestions for bus trips. Call Eleanor Gonty or come by the office
and leave suggestions.
Other dates to remember are: Monday, Bible study 10 a.m.;
Tues. and Thurs., exercise, 10 a.m.; Wed., senior meal, noon;
Thurs., knitting, 7 p.m.; Friday cards, 2 p.m.; Sunday movie,
7 p.m.
Seven seniors watched the movie "Bethoven's 2nd" Sunday
evening, Nov. 13.
