Together will sponsor funds to
community groups and/or in­
dividuals in the Heppner/Lex-
ington area that offer anti
drag/alcohol related youth ac­
tivities. Funded activities
should encourage development
of self confidence, self esteem
in youth which are preven­
tative strategies to early use of
drug and/or alcohol. Activities
may include but are not limited
to basketball, baseball, cycling,
boating, skiing, hiking, swim­
ming, fishing, dance, drama, or
reading.
The total amount of funds
available for the program are
$1,500. Individual grant re­
quests will vary according to
applicant needs and number of
requests submitted.
Grant applications and infor­
mation are currently available
at Hope Lutheran Church, cor­
ner of Alfalfa and Cowin
Streets, in the entry of the
church building. Deadline for
all applications is Feb. 1, 1995.
