A Heppner Elementary
Parents Club meeting has been
scheduled for Tuesday, Aug.
23, at 7 p.m. at the middle
school cafeteria.
Meeting topics include: fun­
ding for Tupper Outdoor
School; carnival date; election
of officers; and information on
the 21st Century Schools and
the certificate of mastery that
the students will be working
toward.

president says that this meeting
will be a chance, fpr parent^.o^
sixth graders to keep Tuppgr
Outdoor School going. Fun­
ding for the project has been
cut because of Ballot Measure
5 cutbacks and alternative
methods of funding must be
developed.

Morrow County Fair and
Rodeo Parade this Saturday,
says parade worker Bill
Karwacki.
Karwacki says the parade
starts at 10 a.m. Saturday, and
anyone wishing to be judged
should be at Green Feed and
Seed in Heppner between 9
and 10 a.m.
Entry forms for the parade
may be picked up ahead of time
at Van Marter and Kahl In-
surance and the Heppner
Elementary school.
First, second and third place
ribbons will be awarded in
various categories, Karwacki
added.
